I got up to level 19 on normal difficulty before I ran out of continues, had a great time. As usual with me and Beat 'Em Ups I had no idea what I was doing the whole time, but I did manage to pull off his pinball rolling move a couple times, very cool. I read the basic controls, but is there a combo list for the individual characters somewhere?

At the moment moves you unlock as the game progresses aren't listed, neither are the special moves for the unlockable characters.

I mean I understand the basic concept well enough, punch kaiju make fall down, so that plus 5 credits with 5 lives each let me limp through the harder sections and enemies. I'll have to see if I can get my brother to play it with me, might be able to beat it.

Oh, I noticed the number of the level on the intro card and the level end point summary don't always match up, am I misinterpreting something or is that an error?

Wasn't in a good headspace at all on Tuesday, but on Wednesday I made up for it by watching Godzilla vs Gigan, Godzilla vs Megaguius, Godzilla vs Megalon, and Godzilla 2000.

I think we can concede both points. King Kong is the beginning of the giant monster movies. You also might argue the silent version of The Lost World could be as the sauropod rampaged the streets of London. However, Godzilla is the start of what would be considered the kaiju genre.

Original plan was to watch Shin with my brother, who hasn't seen it yet, but he ended up not having time. So I went with Plan B and just watched the Japanese version of KKvG myself. Not at all a bad decision; I wasn't too sure about it the first time I saw it, but it delivered the goods this time around.

And I watched the new short! It's really great to see Toho using suitmation again, even if it's just in small ways like this.
