How about that disturbing mutant turtle from Mothra vs. Godzilla? That thing was just plain weird.

The way they were dressed even!
It was like the director was playing GTA and said "hey that looks cool, why not?"

I could never ever ever take that scene seriously...dat lip sync.
"You shut the hell (fuck) up! I'll shot him first then I'll shot you too!"
Seriously, anyone noticed when the cop said "hell" he looked like he said "fuck". Like last minute dubbing...

I guess I just enjoy things just to enjoy them...Nothing wrong with that, right? Isn't that what fans do?

:? What?

I can't be the only one whose trips to NYC look exactly like that scene.
I go to the city all the time, and I've had plenty of experiences that are WAY more bizarre than that one haha. Two words: Performance. Art.

BULLSHIT! ALL OF IT!

I believe Tyler said the "he's pregnant" line is what killed it for him, I gotta say you lasted longer then me cause I just died as soon as I saw him run away from the army, and then someone pissed on my corpse when he was killed by missiles. To a none fan they maybe confused why some of us hate it going "but it's Godzilla! I thought you liked Godzilla?" but a lot of fans just cringe at the mere memory of that abortion of a film they call a "remake". X_X

That scene still completely confuzles me.

I'm surprised no ones mentioned the wires on Megaguirus. That scene makes me cringe so much. You never saw that many wires in any of the showa movies. It's like they didn't even try to hide it.

Because they're only on the Sony DVD releases, not the original film print.

You'd think a Japanese company would use the Japanese print. Or that there would be quality review.

Come on, guy. A 100 meter tall radioactive dinosaur breathing nuclear fire fighting giant bug monsters from another dimension that came through a man-made black hole gun in outer space, but a body slam is over the line? That's just too much for your suspension of disbelief to handle? :P That's the body slam that broke the camel's back?

I never found that scene cringeworthy in concept. Outlandish, but not cringeworthy.

What I did find cringworthy was its execution.

Godzilla prepares to jump. Okay, good suit acting.

His legs float unconvincingly upwards in a close shot. I'm still not used to that but I'll accept it.

Megaguirus looks up in a split-second shot. Cool.

SUDDENLY GODZILLA IS 600 FEET IN THE AIR AND FALLING DOWN. Okay, wow, that editing didn't even give Goji enough time to start his downward trajectory, much less reach 600 feet. Let that scene BREATHE. I know none of this is realistic, but some things have to be kept in check for the sake of coherence!

Yeah that would be awkward for me too, if the whole movie hadn't been so horribly done in first place. As soon as I saw those amateur 3D models of the bugs copypasted on the screen, I knew not to even try to take this movie seriously and just enjoy it for being silly.

Definitely true, but that scene in particular was especially jarring.
