Godzilla Design Bracket Challenge [Winner: Godzilla 1954]

Post by shadowgigan »

CHAMPION: GODZILLA 1954
Image

Hey all, thought this might be a fun activity to do on the forums. So, I made a bracket with pretty much every Godzilla design over the years and tried to seed them according to general fan consensus. May have missed the mark there, but if anyone has input, let me know. If people are interested in doing this, I'll post the first matchup sometime this week, which would be the Godzilla 1965 vs Godzilla 2014. Just vote for the design you like the best! If members think this sounds fun, we can work out the tournament format, etc. Here's the bracket so far:

3. All matches are to last 24 hours unless the Mercy Rule is in effect.
4. This tournament is for the TK Community ONLY. Refrain from advertising the tournament on other forums or any other platform. Manipulation of the vote may result in temporary or permanent suspension of voting regarding the match in question.

This looks interesting. Rooting for my Showa boys! Also, I believe you made a kistake. It's written '72-75- but it should be '73-75'.

I’m rooting for MosuGoji, who’s design screams “skreeonk you, I’m here to destroy poop”. The Objective best Godzilla design, with mad respect for 89.

This crazy mofo ain’t giving two skreeonks about you or your family. He’s coming straight for the win, and nothing gonna stop him. He’s gonna take pleasure in killing all his opponents.

Godzilla 2000 alliance I will see him win!

Godzilla 1965 vs. 2014 is going to be a difficult vote since I love both designs

Man, might as well pour some sauce over this thread because this some spicy sh*t. Can't imagine it ending well

19/21 vs 1962 is going to be a hard one. The former is genuinly my favorite Godzilla design overall but man, you can't beat 1962. It's the epitome of an iconic Showa suit. The lovably stupid looking lizard face and flailing arms are just classic. It would be easy as skreeonk if it's 19/21 vs 1955 but I can't imagine a universe where people actually choose 55 over 62 lmao.

How about 64? I reckon 21 would get bodied by that beast!

Idk man, 67 seems like one hell of a challenge to pass. He has the face Leonardo Dicaprio could only dream of.

62's objectively better than 55 but I wouldn't call the former good, either.

Rooting for 2014, 2019/21, and KiryuGoji here!
Reignited... and hopefully less weird this time around.

I was playing on Jermo saying DougheGoji is the objective best, but I guess that's fine with you. It's ok if someone calls it objectively the best if you agree with them but if not, damn them to hell, isn't that right?

MV Goji looks bloated, almost like if you took a Godzilla corpse and left it in the water for 3 weeks. You take it out, he's got no eye balls, so you have to rush to put little specks in his eye sockets, his teeth look like they were grated off with a brick, and his tail looks like it was amputated. Also, because the angry fans wanted them too, Legendary saw off Godzilla's feet and spines, which were perfectly fine (albeit, the spines should have been bigger), took ShodaiGoji's corpse from his grave, saw off his spines, sewed them back to MV, and then took off Shodai's feet, bloated them, and then sewed them to MV Goji.
