| This region 4 set contains the 1990's
portion of the Heisei series of Godzilla films.
Five movies in total are included. Each is
identical to the earlier releases by the firm,
although they lack individual cases and covers.
Instead, they are housed in a single plastic
case with slots for the five DVDs. In terms
of packaging, continuinty hounds will likely
raise a fuss for the use of the Godzilla:
Final Wars (2004) version of the character
on the front along with two (out of a total
of five) pictures on the back belonging to
Godzilla,
Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out
Attack (2001), neither of which is
part of this set.
Overall, this release presents a nice package
for consumers to purchase the four "double
DVD" titles that Tristar released dubbed,
and in case of the first two full screen only,
on DVD in their original Japanese instead
with English subtitles. The surround tracks
and trailers present do a nice job of benefiting
the package even further for consumers who
are only familiar with the titles from what's
available on region 1. |
