A further modified version of Mecha-King Ghidorah from Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991), pitched by one of Toho's monster designers during the very early development stages of what would eventually become Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993). Maser-King Ghidorah lives up to its name, as it comes equipped with Maser guns hidden in dozens of hatches installed on its body. Not much is known about the monster outside of its concept artwork, though it would have presumably been integrated into the plot in some fashion.
While an unusual but intriguing idea, its inclusion was never seriously considered, and Maser-King Ghidorah was left on the cutting room floor. |
