Godzilla S

Japanese Title

ゴジラS
[Gojira S]

The giant meteorite that Mothra flew into outer space to intercept manages to evade her and approaches the Earth. Natural disasters occur and new monsters begin to appear one after another all across the planet. G-Force formulates a plan to destroy the approaching meteorite using numerous nuclear missiles. However, the gathering of nuclear energy attracts the attention of the Earth's monsters including Godzilla, and the launch base is attacked. G-Force uses all its military might to keep the monsters at bay as the plan is executed, the nuclear missiles being launched successfully and shattering the meteorite just in time.

Unfortunately for G-Force, their troubles are only just beginning: the meteorite turns out to be a giant living creature sent to Earth by aliens, and the fragments of its shattered body come to life, transforming into an army of monsters. An all-out war unfolds between G-Force, the Earth's monsters, and the Meteorite Lifeform and its army. As the battle drags on, Mothra returns to Earth and joins the fray.

LOST PROJECT HISTORY

An ambitious pitch for "Godzilla 7", Godzilla S - later retitled to Godzilla vs. Meteorite Lifeform as the plot was further developed - featured an ensemble cast of monsters, pitting familiar franchise faces against an army of meteorite monsters. Unsurprisingly, the proposal did not get very far, especially when Godzilla's demise was chosen to be the focus of the final installment of the Heisei series.
