The Gamera Trilogy box set, also sometimes referred to as the cumbersomely long Gamera Triple Feature Collector's Edition, contains all three of the 1990's Gamera films that were directed by Shusuke Kaneko. The release contains two discs that feature the three films, with Gamera: Guardian of the Universe (1995) and Gamera 2: Advent of Legion (1996) found on the first disc and Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris (1999) and the bonus features found on the second disc.

Both of the Blu-rays contained inside are the original commercial releases from the company, and were sold separately in 2010 and 2011 respectively. So the benefit of the box set, besides containing a well designed box to place the two discs in, is that it further discounts the releases. While the individual Blu-rays have an MSRP of $15 and can generally be purchased for around $5, this box set has an MSRP of $20 and was sold new for around $8.

While these releases aren't particularly amazing examples for the Blu-ray format, the quality is still good and certainly better than anything the movies got on the DVD format. For the rock bottom price the set retails for, fans of the series can't go wrong with adding this release to their collection.
