I was fortunate enough to be sent over the SpaceGodzilla Astro Crystal Blueberry/Ghost pepper hot sauce by the kind people at Godzillafoods.com for review. I’ll be reviewing this very limited edition hot sauce, which was announced way back in November. How limited is this hot sauce? Well the initial claim was there was only “100 bottles on the planet”… or does that mean 99 if we factor out the one for this review? Either way let’s take a look at how the hot sauce stacks up.

Now my first exposure to Ghost Peppers was through Taco Bell Ghost Pepper Griller burrito back in 2015. The burrito tasted pleasant enough but then BAM! The Ghost Pepper made its appearance and the heat caught me by surprise. So, armed with the experience on what to expect, I cautiously checked out the hot sauce.

For this test, I tried out the hot sauce on Kirkland brand frozen chicken wings from Costo. I heated them up in my air fryer until they were good to go! I poured a little bit of the hot sauce on the wing and noticed that it had a slightly fruity flavor (blueberry) and the heat kicked in on my tongue on the sides of my mouth. Not super hot, but a good amount of heat. The mix of heat and blueberry mixed wonderfully and I love the taste.

But! – and here’s the downside, this flavor was SUPER limited to just 100 bottles, which is a real shame. Now, I haven’t reviewed the other flavors in the hot sauce line I don’t have a number one favorite. That said, this flavor is really something special and I’d love to get more of it. So, and I’m directly addressing everyone at Godzillafoods.com, put this flavor in your main line of hot sauce. Share it with the world!
