Part of the third series of Godzilla hot sauces from Jade City Foods comes this entry themed around Megalon. This one is billed as a hot sauce for those enthusiasts looking for something very hot, going as far as to describe the heat level as being “painful”. Is it being sensationalist, or does it merit that warning? Also… a peach hot sauce makes one wonder, will this be overly sweet?
To my surprise I found this to be the most enjoyable of the hot sauces, for my particular heat tolerance, but read on to learn why.
Heat
This is the first hot sauce from the Godzilla line that I’ve reviewed that is ranked 10/10. Normally that would be the hottest, but there are some in the line above that.
Now as I’ve talked about, I really enjoy spicy food. I’ve tried a lot of hot food and, as relevant to this review, a lot of hot sauces as well. That does include having the full line of The Hot Ones during a season and quite a few of Yellowbird’s hot sauces. Pound for pound, my favorite hot sauce is the Cocoa Ghost by Queen Majesty, which is a blend of ghost peppers and chocolate. Anyway I could mention the SHU (Scoville heat units) of some of those hot sauces, but Jade City Foods doesn’t use that scale. As a result, was very curious what a 10/10 would be from them compared to others that I have tried. As noted, the label itself calls the heat level “painful”, so does it hold up to the hype?
Yes, yes it does.

For those who like their hot sauces… well hot, the God of the Seatopians sure does provide. The heat is pretty immediate as well, while having a continual burn for a time afterwards. It’s great adding it to food items to bring in some real heat when needed. Also, this is the first one I’ve had where it has been at times too hot. That includes when I drowned a taco in it and another time where I tried a serrano pepper doused in it… which hot sauce on spicy food makes sense the end product would be hot. So suffice to say, I want to praise the heat but this is one that won’t be for everyone and those with a larger tolerance will be the ones to enjoy it most.
Taste
First off, before talking about the taste, I want to mention this is a very water hot sauce. Shake it before you eat it, and also don’t be surprised if you have to shake the bottle multiple times during your meal. Also be careful when pouring. As I mentioned, this one is quite hot. Because it doesn’t have a stopper, something that only the Biollante Mutated Rose Hot Sauce did so far from these reviews, it’s far too easy to pour out too much.
Anyway, this one is billed as peach and has that as the first ingredient. I was wondering if that might give it a sweet taste, but it’s actually quite mild in the flavor area. Since it’s so hot, that works as it’s a great way to bring heat without overly influencing the taste.

I tried the God of the Seatopians hot sauce with a lot of food items too and it worked pretty well. That includes with fajitas and tacos, both homemade and later when feeling lazy those trays of tacos you can buy at Costco. I also tried it with just chicken, isolated out of an air fryer, and it worked quite well there too. In fact, in all circumstances it did a great job of adding heat and a nice subtle flavor. As a result, I got crazy and mixed it with other salsas in the same taco and it still came out good (…although let’s not talk about what that means sodium wise).
God of the Seatopians Ingredients
In terms of ingredients, the hot sauce features the following in this order: peach, habanero, peach yellow ghost pepper, yellow bell pepper, garlic, onion, turmeric, distilled white vinegar and salt. Health wise, it’s the same as every hot sauce from Jade City Foods that I have reviewed at this current point in time. What that means is 100mg of sodium and 1 gram of carb per teaspoon. It also means no calories and zero fat.

Final Thoughts
Overall, this is my favorite so far and what I will say is one of the best from Jade City Foods. That said, it’s the first one where I will note with a warning that it will likely be too hot for a lot of people. I think across a wider range of heat tolerance, Mothra Queen of the Monsters is probably the safest with a solid mixture of heat and flavor. For those wanting to push the limits, though, Megalon God of the Seatopians is a winner.
