November 3rd,1954. That was the year the world realized that humanity was only second rate. Godzilla was the first of many monsters that began to terrorize the world, born from the atomic bombs near the Bikini Atoll, the radioactive dinosaur slaughtered thousands in his wrath, and Tokyo was absolutely inhabitable. So much so that Japan’s capital had to be moved to Osaka, because the Japanese knew Tokyo could never reach its former glory to ever even be considered a capital city. Thankfully, despite what most thought, he wasn’t invincible. There was a weapon, a powerful weapon created by Dr. Serizawa that was launched down into the Pacific Ocean where the beast rested. In the ultimate sacrifice, Serizawa committed suicide, taking Godzilla and his weapon down with him.

However, this did not deter other monsters from finishing what Godzilla started.

Only two years later came the Rodan couple, then Varan, Mothra, the Mysterians, Dogora, Frankenstein, and Baragon. The world had been absolutely trashed by monsters, and the resistance made to stop them only worked so well. Yet, at the very least, the world could say that Godzilla himself was gone.

Or so they thought.

Godzilla was defeated, but he wasn’t dead. And yet, the Oxygen Destroyer had weakened him to such a point, that he could not even leave the Pacific Ocean, else humanity really would kill him. Since then he had been binding his time, waiting for the perfect moment to finally get revenge and strike back. He wasn’t aware of how long he waited, since time was something he didn’t keep track of, but it was something his enemies were.

His first attack had been all the way back in 1954, but now the year was 1991, and it just so happened to be November 3rd, the 38th Anniversary of his first attack. Any wound Serizawa had made, healed. No longer did he feel frail, and his wrath had almost reached a breaking point. Humankind was no longer safe, and now, because of their foolish assumption, they shall meet their end!

A nuclear submarine cruised at the ocean floor, making its way back to the United States. It was on a spy mission in North Korean territory after reports of the nation building more nuclear missiles of its own. While it had seemed likely, the pilots had been called back after finding out none were currently being built. The deep blue sea was astonishing to view, a reminder of how beautiful Mother Nature could be.

And in just thirty seconds, it would be ruined.

“Thoom. Thoom. Thoom.” The sounds of a giant’s footsteps had been heard in the distance, followed upon by a blue light and shaking. Something had hit the ship and had sent it flying backwards into a boulder. Then, the light began to take shape. A brown colored silhouette appeared, yellow eyes gleaming and bone white dorsal plates lit up as if a blue sun was forming under the waves. He roared his signature roar, as the captain shouted one last thing. One last thing that sent the world into pandemonium.

“GODZILLlAAAAAAAAAA-!”

And just like that, the King shot his atomic ray, easily destroying the ship, letting the radioactive fumes absorb itself into his body. He smirked, satisfied. Couple down, and an entire world to go! He swam upward towards the surface. His new reign of terror starts now, and none that dare to challenge him shall live to tell the tale. Besides, who would want to challenge him anyway? The only thing that would remotely stand a chance against him would be another of his species, but they were whipped clean off the face of this Earth long ago.

Well, that wasn’t entirely true.

Farther away in the Southern Ocean, a charcoal grey monster began to stir out of his slumber….

It was as if the world was coming to an end, across the globe people ran and cowered in fear of the second coming of Godzilla. What chance did they have of stopping Earth’s mightiest monster? If they struggled to beat everyone else before, what choice did they have now?

The G7 Summit was called upon immediately for action against the great kaiju. It was to be hosted in Germany’s capital city of Berlin this year. Everyone came in faster than ever before, hoping to find at least some sort of solution against mankind’s greatest enemy. Nobody was entirely sure of what would come of today. They just hoped for something good..

Prime Minister of Japan, Akira Ifukube, was the last to arrive. He really didn’t even want to come. He just wanted to cease existing. Run and hide. For some reason, he couldn’t shake the idea that, for whatever reason, maybe everyone would turn to him for advice. His nation was first to be attacked, after all. Yet despite this fortune, or rather, misfortune, that didn’t mean he had the answers to achieving victory. Maybe if he knew whatever happened to Serizawa’s Oxygen Destroyer he would. But he didn’t, and there was no time to make a new weapon.

Perhaps he could uncover some sort of answer. Whether it was good or bad, he did not know.

Walking into the massive room, he was immediately eyed by everyone, as he nervously sat down on the chair, even having a sticker with his country’s flag on it. It was noticeable to everyone that the South Korean leader hadn’t shown up today. Perhaps too worried about making sure his country Godzilla is free to come. Shaking hands with everyone, the Chancellor of Germany finally spoke up.

“We have come today to discuss the return of the legendary “King of the Monsters”, Godzilla,” Stated Ralph Schneller. “Does anyone have any possible ideas of how to stop this disaster from happening?”

The Prime Minister of France, Xavier Lemangrie, raised his hand and spoke up: “I believe it’s time we get to work on a second variant of Dr. Serizawa’s Oxygen Destroyer. I, along with the rest of my country’s government, is already trying to figure out how to make the machine, all we need is your approval!”

“Xavier, none of us even know how the weapon even worked.” said the United States President, George Abrams. He figured someone, anyone, was gonna ask about the Oxygen Destroyer anyway. “What if it doesn’t set off?! And even if it does, we set it off in the wrong area and we might be putting entire cities and people in danger of getting killed! We need to find some other way to incapacitate him. Maybe we could lock him inside a volcano?”

“President Abrams, I feel as if you might be onto something here, but I just don’t see how we can lead him over to any volcano without him realizing what we’re doing! He’s a thinking animal. We just can’t lure him away like he has the attention span of a goldfish.” said the British Prime Minister. Adam Lewis certainly didn’t think the highest of everyone else in the room, to say the least. Still, he came to these meetings for the good of his country, and the world. Then, like the Prime Minister predicted, his eyes turned toward him. “Prime Minister Ifukube, perhaps you have some ideas?”

And then Ifukube froze solid.

He stuttered, trying to say something, anything, that would perhaps give his allies an idea. “U-I suggest that we… erm I-I-”

“I believe I might be of assistance.” the Italian leader spoke. Leone Valentin picked up a rolled up piece of paper, then flattened it out across the room, revealing his own Anti-Godzilla plan. Canadian Prime Minister Benjamin Nelson looked at it with confusion. “Uh, Leone? What is this?”

“Why, a plan to put Godzilla on ice! No monster in this world can survive the deep freeze of the Antarctic continent. We get Godzilla over there and mother nature makes him a kaiju popsicle!!”

Adam just rolled his eyes “Again, how are we doing this without him catching onto us?! Also, you know that we do have monsters that are adapted to living in the cold, right Leone?”

“Godzilla’s a lizard! Lizards are cold blooded monsters that can’t even stand a second in the snow! Not like he’s got a protective blubber like Maguma”.

Akira was finally able to find some ground to speak in. “Well while that is true, species like Godzilla’s would hate the cold, kaiju have proven themselves time and time again that they can easily surpass human expectations. And with global warming also on the rise, who’s to say that the ice would just be delaying an inevitable event?”. All of this just became more of a migraine to everyone involved, unable to truly come to any real agreement on what to do. George simply sighed and resisted the urge to rub his temples. “At the very least, we only have to deal with one monster…”

And then, as if the universe simply decided it was time to make fun of them today, a personnel of Ralph’s burst in the room and put an end to everyone’s slight hint of relief.

“Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem like the case, Mr. President.”

Near Antarctica, a ship made its way throughout the colossal amounts of ice. They were aiming to make a port near India and show off their large amounts of oil, but it was quite clear they made a wrong turn. The water was becoming more and more narrow, and eventually, the ship ended up getting stuck. Tired and frustrated, the men on board called for assistance.

Unbeknownst, they were standing right over their eventual doom.

The waves became more wild. Perhaps the wind? No, the winds were surprisingly calm today. This was something else. Something, perhaps, alive.

Then suddenly, the water began to glow. But not blue like Godzilla’s. Rather a deep, fiery orange color. The ice in close proximity began to break off and melt. The land rumbled with an ear splitting sound underneath the waves, almost sounding like Godzilla himself. But that couldn’t be true! Godzilla was miles away! Who could this be?

And then, the ice burst, and the monster showed himself. It looked nigh similar to Godzilla himself, but his reptilian skin was not brown, rather a charcoal grey, and he also had a slimmer face. He roared a familiar roar, and then the orange fire breath was the last thing the crew ever saw.

“We have word that a second of Godzilla’s species has awoken, and is currently on its way towards civilization. It’s not entirely known why it woke up, but some speculate perhaps he’s going after Godzilla himself, seeing another of his species as a threat to it. It’s unknown where it might land at this time.” Fearfully the personnel, finishing the story. Benjamin stood up in courage.

“If it’s true this thing’s going after Godzilla, it’s pretty likely it’s gonna follow wherever he goes, no? We should try to find his location then, because this second Godzilla’s sure to follow.”

The massive screen that hovered over everyone had Godzilla tightly locked, and showed that he was ready to make landfall.

He was heading towards China.

It was a sunny day in the city of Shanghai, not even a single cloud in sight. People walked around and did everyday activities, as if there wasn’t a care in the world.

All of that would come to an end, and the city would be forced to rebuild for years to come.

He had snuck under everyone’s radar, and it was too late to stop him. Godzilla had swam up the Pacific Ocean and into Shanghai Bay, and burst out of the sea with a mighty roar! Sirens blared, but it didn’t stop the kaiju’s path of destruction. He stepped onto shore, trampling thousands of people, buildings and vehicles. His atomic ray melted metal to a puddle, and made every living thing turn into ash. Missiles fired, bombs were set off, planes and helicopters went in.

But it was all for naught.

Godzilla’s rage would only be satisfied when humanity was all but extinct, his primal instincts telling him to eliminate what he now considered his number one enemy. They killed his family. They nearly killed him. He would not hold back any longer.

He then turned his attention to the massive Shanghai Tower, figuring that he’d be able to make the humans feel weak had one of their monuments be destroyed. His spines lit up as atomic flames licked at his lips.

And then, all of a sudden, he stopped.

He turned back to the sea, with the atomic breath dying down. It was faint, but he could certainly feel it. He growled in anger at the fact that something dared to interfere with his revenge.

Another kaiju was on its way.

The six leaders had made their way to China via helicopter, but it was clear they were too late to warn the Chinese President about Godzilla, they weren’t even too sure if he was even still alive. They stared in awe and fear at the Kaiju King that was only three miles away. The waves in the Pacific Ocean made them aware of what was about to happen.

Suddenly, similar dorsal plates to Godzilla’s broke the ocean. And then the entire being rose up from the waves like a demonic crocodile. With this other of his kin still around, he could never be the strongest. That would change now.

Suddenly, Ifukube heard a radio in his pocket go off. “It seems like the second Godzilla has reached the city sir. Apparently, everyone has decided to give it the name of “Gigantis”. Shall we engage the monsters?”

“No….. the arrogance of man is thinking that we had these beasts under our control. But it was the other way around. We have nothing in our arsenal to beat two Godzilla’s, so we have only one option…”

The two similar monsters looked at each other. Godzilla was surprised to see that another of his species had survived after all, but this was a threat all the same. He would simply make sure that this weakling knew who was the strongest.

On the other hand, Gigantis was always an individual who wanted to prove his dominance to everyone else. When their race hit their hayday, Gigantis had rapidly killed every other male in order to prove his worth, and so far, Godzilla was the only one left. The only thing standing in his way that would make him the King of all. Both continued to stand their ground….

And then charged with two Earth-shattering roars as Akira finished his speech.

“Let them fight.”

The moment they clashed, a massive shockwave was emitted, instantly shattering windows. The two terrible titans forced their weight’s against the other, trying to overpower their foe. Eventually, Godzilla just broke off and then punched Gigantis straight in the jaw, sending him stumbling back into a building. He responded by firing his radioactive flame, which unlike Godzilla’s which was more of atomic energy forming into a beam, was much more akin to actual fire. The blast ran over to his chest, hitting it straight on, and turning his brown, scaly skin pitch black. This allowed Gigantis to rush back in and bite down on Godzilla’s right arm! In anger, the Monster King slammed his fist down on his counterpart’s skull, trying to get the grip to loosen, yet Gigantis remained strong.

Godzilla then tried to simply pry Gigantis’ mouth open, which worked, but before he could inflict any more damage, the grey beast slammed his head away with his palm, sending him tumbling to his side. Gigantis regained his fighting spirit, and then kicked Godzilla back into the Huangpu River.

To Gigantis, it would’ve already looked like Godzilla was down for the count. Far from it.

The water exploded, and Godzilla’s hand gripped around his prey’s neck, pulling himself up from the waves. Then he let go, punching Gigantis in the chest, followed up by a massive tail whip to the legs, sending him face first to the ground. Still, the prehistoric dinosaur refused to let up, and then rammed his skull into atomic leviathan like a bull, driving them both further into the city. Building after building fell as the clash continued, until Godzilla was finally rammed into a building twice their size. He put his fist into a hammer position, and then slammed it down on Gigantis’ dorsal plates! The monster fell to the ground, and then was grabbed by his head. Pulling his adversary up to eye level, the nuclear menace sent his body flung over to what remained of the building, as the rest of it fell on the terrible lizard. The skyscraper had become nothing but rubble and ash, burying the kaiju within, although it certainly didn’t last for long. The fire breath shot out of it, going into the air and shooting down planes. Gigantis reared out of the mess, climbing back to his feet. And when Godzilla’s tail came too close to his body, he grabbed hold of it!

Swinging Godzilla over his shoulders, the Fire Monster succeeded in sending his enemy away, crushing civilians as his body tumbled to the streets.

“Quick,” Adam called “We should follow them in the helicopter!” The other world leaders nodded and headed out. However, they weren’t the only ones getting in close to watch the battling Titans.

“GODZILLA HAS BEEN THROWN STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR BY GIGANTIS. LOOKS LIKE HE MIGHT BE IN BIG TROUBLE!”

Any news reporter wouldn’t miss out documenting the return of Godzilla and him battling another of his species….. But only so many of them would be brave, or perhaps foolish, enough to record it at the sight of the scene instead of somewhere safe. But, when your news channel is low on actual news, some might jump to desperate decisions. “Get closer, you might miss some of the action!”

Unfortunately, the cameraman wasn’t too happy about his upcoming report “S-sir, I really don’t think we should be here right now. What if we get too close and one of them incinerates us-!”

“Look, you will get paid overtime for this report, I can see us rolling in dough! Now shut up and keep filming!”

Looking up at all the dust and soot in the air, Godzilla could see Gigantis’ shadow. The grey beast trudged forward, planting his foot on Godzilla’s chest, only for the radioactive mutant to catch in and slam it into the pavement, causing a fissure to open up. Gigantis almost fell straight into the ground, before Godzilla uppercutted him, sending him away from the massive crack, which began to grow larger across the streets. Cars and trucks fell into the abysmal abyss, most likely to never be found. The two giants continued to wrestle while the city crumbled around them. Gigantis sent both of them hurdling to the ground, causing them to fall into a ditch. The destructive beast struggled to get up, yet was forced back down against his will by his adversary. His brown flesh was torched again by the fire breath. He cried out.

For the first time, in the millions of years he’s existed on this planet, no other kaiju has given Godzilla this much trouble.

And it began to further his resolve.

Gigantis reached down to tear out his neck, but his powerful legs met his stomach, sending him out of the pit and into the air! As Gigantis landed hard on the pavement, Godzilla’s war cry echoed across all of Shanghai, as he rose out of the dirt, wounds slowly regenerating. His plates flickered to life, before his atomic breath fired, the blue beam creating a sea of fire that ran across his counterpart’s side. The blue flames reached into the air. It was the incident in 1954 all over again.

Burnt, yet not out, Gigantis tried to climb back to his feet. The flames began to make a circle, all except straight ahead, which he just ran through. He spun around, his tail meeting Godzilla’s face, nearly caving in his skull. Godzilla turned back towards his foe, clutching the side of his face with a grimace. His eyes narrowed in fury. His footsteps created massive footprints in the ground as he marched forward. His left hand was raised before it ran straight across Gigantis’ eye!

The monster cried out in pain, blood pouring down his face. Had Godzilla moved his arms even the slightest bit further, he would’ve lost vision in that eye. He began to berserk, rapidly firing his heat way at any attempt to hit his enemy, but with his eye being forced shut, it was hard to aim, and thus even more of the city was on fire as a result. The orange flames mixed in beautifully with the blue ones, allowing what could’ve been a wonderful sight to be beheld, had it not been the fact it came from Shanghai being on fire.

All the while, the world leaders continued to watch from afar. George commented in complete disbelief. “I can’t believe it! He may be losing now, but Gigantis just had Godzilla on the ropes.”

“It’s been documented time and time again that Godzilla would easily slaughter other monsters, and could easily slaughter thousands more thanks to his powerup from the submarine,” Ifukube said, “Perhaps, the saying of “one’s greatest enemy is himself” rings true for Godzilla.”

The two monsters continued to massacre the others’ bodies. Gigantis reached down to grab Godzilla’s face, but his hand was stopped by his rival’s fist. With a left and right hook, Godzilla sent him back, before finishing off the mini-combo with a headbutt. Rushing back in, however, the Monster King couldn’t stop in time to avoid Gigantis’ hand slamming him back to the floor, but was able to counter by using his hand in order to trip him up once more… only for Gigantis to take Godzilla with him.

Finally pinning himself on top of Godzilla, Gigantis began to choke him out, only for his hands to be forced away, and kicked back to the curb.

“The battle is equalizing folks! Can Godzilla prove himself as King once again, or shall Gigantis steal his crown?!”

The news reporter still yelled into his microphone, but the footage was becoming less and less clear with the rumbling the two monsters emitted. Nothing could be in focus. The cameraman complained. “Uh, sir, I feel like we should still be further back! They’re fighting so hard I can’t get the camera in focus!”

“But if we go further back, we’re not even gonna get a good look at the fight! We’ll be fired for sure, just deal with it and keep recording!”

“B-b-but-!”

The thought was cut off when a stray atomic breath shot straight into the air, hitting Gigantis in the side of the head. The blue blast nearly hit the helicopter, and easily slaughtered any other vehicle too close. The prehistoric terror was sent straight to his feet, the side of his face going from gray to black as midnight. Godzilla came out of the ground, looking down at his chest. The red muscles began to retreat back into his inner skin, and scales took their place. As similar as Gigantis and Godzilla were, that was one advantage that the King had over this fraud; no matter what Gigantis did, no matter how hard he hit Godzilla, drew blood, scorched him with fire, it wouldn’t matter in the end. The wounds would always heal.

Yet that wouldn’t stop the Fire Monster from trying to kill him anyway.

Putting his head down, he charged. Rushing across the burning landscape, everything he forced up had been able to slightly lessen the flames, although they still reached into the air. It would look as if the attack would’ve broken Godzilla’s ribs, but the Monster King lifted Gigantis over his shoulders, and slammed him back into the ground. Not wanting to let his opponent get up, Godzilla raised up his foot….

And then mercilessly stomped on his groin.

Buildings crumbled as the sound of what many assumed was a dying cat echoed across the land.

Groaning in pain, the monster looked up at Godzilla. The King had a smile. A twisted, sadistic smile. It was easy to see he was enjoying seeing this fool squirm in the pain he had given him. Now all that he needed to do was finish him off.

He grabbed the monster by the dorsal plates, and sent him flying across the city of Shanghai. Landing straight into a building, Gigantis groaned as he tried to get back up and attack. Although the smoke made it hard for him to see, the footsteps and booming roar told him that Godzilla was edging near. Still, with pain throbbing up and down his person, he decided it was still no time to falter.

Shaking off the pieces of metal that were once a proud, standing building, Gigantis watched as Godzilla came back into view. His brown flesh glowed a more golden color as the flames rubbed against the hard reptilian skin.

His fins began to flash blue….

Gigantis’ fins began to glow orange….

And in a matter of minutes, the two beams clashed!

The ball that formed in between the atomic ray and fire breath had a kaleidoscope of colors. Having a mix of blue, red, purple and yellow. Godzilla’s ray began to overpower Gigantis, sending the ball hurdling back in his direction, but as Gigantis put more pressure into the fire breath, it began to head back into Godzilla’s direction. Godzilla did the same.

Then Godzilla, then Gigantis, then Godzilla, then Gigantis. Both camps in the helicopters watched in awe as the beam war raged on. The ball was so bright, none noticed when it seemed like it was slowly getting bigger.

And when the combined nuclear energy had become too much for a simple object to contain….

BOOM!

The energy imploded on itself, then exploded, creating a multicolored bomb that engulfed everything in proximity. All that could be heard was the pained roars of two monsters as the lights engulfed them.

The news reporter watched in glee. “Did you get that dude! This is amazing!! We’re going to be rich after this fight!”

“U-um, yeah I got it alright! I think we should pull out before we become a part of it though….”

“Wait, what?”

The two men looked on as the blast melted the helicopter like acid, and then screamed as the rest of the blast consumed them.

The blast was too far away from the world leaders to vaporize them as well, but the shockwave it emitted threatened to send them crashing down to the ground. The propellers faltered, and they were sent down to Earth.

Adam barked orders “Quick! We need to try and land this in the safest place possible!”

Akira, George, and Ralph tried to steer the machine, guiding it towards a building that still stood. The copter was anything but steady, but eventually found itself landing safely on the building. Once the world seemed to have stopped spinning, and the explosion finally dimmed, they got out.

The damage was absolutely devastating. The water in Huangpu was split in half like something out of the Bible, slowly merging back together. Most of the buildings in the Lujiazui Skyline, however, held firm, but it was clear some of the windows had shattered. One piece of the Oriental Pearl Tower had broken off, tilting it, looking as if it was only a second away from falling to its side completely. Godzilla and Gigantis? The two seemed to have vanished from the face of the Earth completely. Once the rest of the smoke cleared, it was clear the Sun was about to set.

Ralph stood confused. “What became of the monsters? After all they endured, this couldn’t possibly be what kills them, could it?”

“It doesn’t matter if it killed them or not at this rate!” Yelled Ifukube. “All the radiation and destruction they left behind is absolutely horrific…. It will be a miracle if Shanghai ever recovers.”

Then came rumbling.

And a large piece of what was destroyed, seemed to glow a pulsing blue light, before Godzilla finally busted his way out of the ground with a mighty roar! Shaking off the soot, he began to march forward to the Lujiazui towers. But not to destroy them.

No, Gigantis was still alive as well.

But as he too came out, it was clear he was in a much more horrid state. What remained of his right kneecap was just complete bone, digits on both fingers and toes were missing, and even one of his larger dorsal fins were blown off from the impact of the explosion. But alas, sheer stubbornness forced him to stay and fight.

And he was going to regret it.

He tried to run, but he was forced back down to a knee, allowing Godzilla to wail on him. His punches and kicks broke even more of the increasingly frail bones in his body. The reptilian creature tried to swipe his claws at the relentless foe, only to miss and get a clean headbutt to the skull. Grabbing him by the shoulders, Godzilla threw Gigantis back, the Fire Monster landing right beside the Shanghai Tower. Then, with an atomic ray, the nuclear leviathan shot the blast at the tower, a huge chunk of it shooting out as it collapsed onto the volcanic titan, his cries drowned out by the sound of metal jutting into skin and the ground, the weight crushing him. Even then, Godzilla fired it again, setting the remains on fire. He seemed to watch the bonfire with joy, but as it died down, went over and dug his hands into it. Gigantis, still alive, looked at his opponent.

And for the first time, he began to feel fear.

And then, as if he was Satan himself torturing his prisoner in Hell, Godzilla jammed his thumbs into Gigantis’ eyes! Blood poured out of the wound, but Gigantis couldn’t cry out. He couldn’t do anything. The thumbs cut into his frontal lobe, and left him paralyzed from the neck down.

But he felt more pain than he ever did as Godzilla began to pull his head apart with his thumbs on the inside, and the rest of his hand out. Gigantis could only wheeze. Only death could free him from this ungodly pain…. And he would find it soon enough.

Finally, after what felt like years, Gigantis’ head split in half like an orange, as Godzilla sighed in a mix of pleasure and exhaustion. He tossed the corpse into the river, which quickly flowed with blood.

The Fire Monster had finally fallen.

But Godzilla was not done. No, humans still crawled about in this broken land, and he would cleanse them and leave nothing standing. The world leaders could do nothing as Godzilla aimed his ray at their location.

Benjamin whimpered. “That’s it then? We’re doomed?”

“It would appear so…” whispered George.

Adam and Ralph did nothing but sigh. The former spoke “Well, I would just like to say that it has been an honor helping our world with you all.”

And yet, Leone seemed to be the only one not exactly ready to accept his fate. “But after all he’s done, we can’t just leave Godzilla alive in this world!… Can we?”

Ifukube was the last to speak, finding the answer he sought during the G7 conference. “Perhaps, we were not the ones to truly take down Godzilla, but if there’s anything I have learned, it’s that humanity is as stubborn as he is. Perhaps, if we can hold him back long enough, someone truly will be able to take down the King. But till then…. We can only hope.”

The atomic energy fired from Godzilla’s gaping maw, and everything, including the buildings the leaders were on, faded away.

Before Godzilla could really celebrate, missiles fired onto his back. Forces from America, Japan, and Russia came in to hold him off. But it didn’t matter. They would be vanquished like the rest!

On November 3rd, 1991, the 38th Anniversary of his original attack, Godzilla had returned to wreak havoc on humanity again, and faced a great challenge in the form of a distant relative, Gigantis. Reigning victorious, he once again faced off against the military might of the world. Will he finally be able to drive humankind to extinction? Will humanity put him down for good, or will, perhaps, another monster defeat him and take his place as King?

Only time would tell.

Winner: Ghost Godzilla
