The ground shook as two gray creatures rushed through the groves of redwoods. Their size and body shapes were similar, indicating they were of the same species, yet both still held distinct differences. The first was smaller and currently flying above on two angular wings, holding a dying juvenile Godzilla in its claws. The second was far larger than the other, having a glowing egg sack beneath it which revealed it to be female. The two were a mated pair of megafauna known only as Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms, or MUTOs. They were being hunted by a larger predator, the parent of the child they stole and were currently bringing as food for their soon to be laid brood. Exhausted from fleeing, they stopped to rest for a moment.

Having gone some distance, the female looked around at their surroundings and found cover in the giant trees. This would be a perfect place to hide her nest. She called out to her mate as he dropped the dinosaur to the ground. Lifting up her claw, she snapped the juvenile’s neck, killing it. The male flew about in alert as the female began to coat the dead creature with her eggs.

Hidden beneath the outgrowths of the giant redwoods in a lake, a large creature stirred. It was a large insectoid creature with a pincer mouth and giant red eyes. The creature twitched in fear as the ground shook around it. As a large shadow flew by overhead, the giant Meganulon slowly moved her body around, shaking off the dirt she had buried herself under as the water became murky. She hated the feeling of fear and weakness that came with her species as larger predators devoured her kind. She had seen many of her fellow queens be devoured and killed by the super predators that roamed the world before they had the chance to change. It was only the cover of the redwood trees around her lake that preserved her from the same fate. As the dark shadow flew overhead, she knew that her time to rule may not come, preparing for the worst.

A distinct buzzing alerted the young queen of her soldiers returning, giving her cause to relax.

Several giant dragonflies, known as Meganula, quickly began to swarm around the lake before diving in. They began swimming down toward their queen, where they imbued the life energy they had drained from their hunt into her. She noticed their numbers had diminished somewhat, yet the power she was receiving from them overcame that. The energy they gave her was unlike that of normal animals and super predators. It was as though she were being filled with nature’s wrath itself! As many of her swarm died around her, the giant Meganulon waited patiently as her body began to morph and change within.

The male MUTO slowly flew above the skyline watching for any sight of their pursuer and, seeing nothing but trees and rugged rock formations, turned around. As he did this, he noticed something below the trees. Taking care, he landed on the treetops and stared at the mysterious lake before him. As he ducked down to take a drink, he noticed a large creature resting below the water’s surface. It seemed to be a large insect of some kind with several dead dragonflies floating around it. He didn’t know what this creature was, but he would kill it before it could pose a threat. The giant Meganulon stared up at the aerial Kaiju as he prepared to slam his claw down onto her. As his arm reached its peak, a low grumbling caught his attention. Turning to the side, he barely had time to get airborne as a large object barreled past him. The Meganulon returned her aimless gaze forward as she felt her body quickly growing larger within her shell.

The male parasite roared from the skies at the dark scaled leviathan before him. The creature was a grayish-black and covered in tough plate-like scales. Adorning its back were three rows of sharp, rocklike dorsal spines from head to tail. The creature then lifted its crocodilian face towards the air as it released a powerful roar across the landscape, announcing his presence to his prey.

Godzilla stared at the parasite before him. He had been resting when they had taken away his only child. Tracking the two throughout the land wasn’t hard seeing as they were among the last of their kind, spread across the continent, other than when those insect swarms drained his energy. The alpha predator scanned his surroundings and saw the female crouching down in the distance. Getting ready, he prepared to ram the female over when the male latched onto his shoulders from behind. Digging his claws in deep, the MUTO used his momentum to forcefully drag the behemoth away from the nest.

The two struggled against each other, trying to overpower the other. The male was raking his claws into the tough flesh of the alpha predator, lacerating him, while Godzilla was biting and digging his feet into the ground to stop their movement. The dark beast grasped the leviathan behind his head as he yanked hard, dragging him along the ground. Godzilla fell to his side as he felt his skin grind against the trees as they passed him by. As he was being dragged, the Monster King reached out and managed to snag one of the Male’s appendages. A loud screech was heard as the parasite was forcefully pulled down, causing the two to tumble about the forest.

In the distance, the female MUTO could hear the pained cries of her mate. However, she still had a couple more eggs to lay before she could help him fight. As she was laying the last of her eggs, a loud buzzing was heard as something landed on her front leg. She then felt an irritating sting on her body, forcing her to stop for the moment. Lifting her head, she noticed a small insect was latched onto her leg, draining energy from her. Screeching out, she raised her arm and snatched the insect into her maw. However, in doing so, she unknowingly attracted the aggression of the rest of the Meganula swarm. Hundreds of tiny insects began to swarm around the giant female, causing her to let out an angry screech. She had yet to finish laying her eggs, but these insects were a large annoyance as they latched onto her flesh. The MUTO began slamming her body against the trees, trying to tear off the dragonflies. She rolled across the ground, managing to kill some of the irritating swarm before noticing the insects’ true target.

The nest of her eggs was quickly swarmed by the Meganula. The many eggs laid around and within the dead Godzilla juvenile were being quickly devoured by the hungry insects. The Meganula were injecting their stingers into the fallen corpse, draining it of its power while others began viciously tearing into the eggs, dragging them out and devouring the struggling larvae. The Kaiju mother screeched in anger at this atrocity against her kind. She quickly moved down to tear the insects away, only for them to swarm her face. They began an attempt to drain her, further angering the enraged mother. Seeing her young being devoured by the insects, the female parasite roared out in anguish as she lifted her claws into the air. She then slammed them down hard, causing an invisible pulse to course through the environment. This created a blast of dirt and dust from the forest floor, knocking away and stunning the Meganula.

Looking down at her eggs, she cried out seeing none of them had survived. The corpse had been drained of its radioactive essence by the dragonflies, leaving nothing to feed what little eggs she had left. Hearing the battle in the distance, she noticed her mate engaged with the larger alpha predator. The radiation he gave off was powerful. She still had some eggs remaining in her body. That much radiation would be able to nourish her children until they were ready to pupate, possibly further if the conditions were right. Making her decision, she began to barrel through the tall trees towards the two fighting Kaiju.

Godzilla was struggling to grasp the elusive MUTO as he clawed at him from above. Many of the trees around them had either been splintered or broken during their battle. Spinning around, he used his powerful tail to launch the shattered trees into the air towards his foe. The wooden projectiles struck the male MUTO head-on, causing his flight path to falter, giving the alpha predator the chance he needed as he lunged forward digging his teeth into the parasite’s shoulder.

Feeling the sharp pain from the bite, the MUTO attempted to pull away from the monster king. Godzilla wasn’t having it however. He pulled the MUTO down from the air and grasped his arms in his claws. Godzilla then twisted his own body, slamming his foe into the ground below.

Releasing his hold, he lifted his trunk-like leg into the air to stomp on the downed creature. Just before he hit, he felt something barrel into his side, knocking him away.

The female MUTO roared out at the monster king as he began to get up. She rushed forth, knocking the large creature onto his side, causing him to screech out in pain. Where the males of their species had mobility, the females gained powerful strength on their side. Godzilla roared out as he glared at the new arrival. He was quickly silenced when she slammed her sharp claw across his face. The female parasite wouldn’t give up her advantage as she continued to slam her claws into the dinosaur’s sides. The powerful impacts shook the ground as she continued her assault.

The monster king quickly lashed out, managing to grab hold of one of his foe’s legs. He attempted to pull her weight out from under her, causing the parasite to fall. Getting up, he roared out at the MUTO as he pinned her under his foot. A buzzing was heard coming from Godzilla as a blue glow started to flow up his dorsal spines. Taking in a deep breath, he opened his mouth to fire his atomic breath. Just as the blue flames gathered in his throat, the male MUTO slammed into his side, biting his neck.

The airborne parasite dug his claws into his enemy’s body as he latched himself on. Godzilla roared out, turning his head to bite back when the female MUTO rushed up, biting his other shoulder. The two began to drag the powerful Kaiju through the demolished tree line before tossing him away. Godzilla flew through several trees before crashing to the ground. He roared out weakly as he noticed the two coming closer.

The king of the monsters slowly began to get up. He was tired from the long trek after these parasites and the continuous battle. A blow from behind knocked him to the ground, causing the dinosaur to fall flat. Several claws and appendages held the leviathan down as he lay weakened. Then he saw nothing as his larger foe brought her claw down on his head.

The MUTO screeched out in victory over the giant as they pinned his unconscious form to the ground. Grabbing hold, the two began to drag his body across the destroyed terrain towards their nest to prepare. Once they arrived, they tossed his body next to the dead drained corpse as the soon-to-be matriarch began to deposit her remaining eggs over his body.

The giant Meganulon waited in her underwater cover as she felt her body completing its changes. Her instincts were raging within her, being empowered by the foreign DNA she was given. She felt a strong bloodlust growing within her, calling for her to destroy. A crack began to form down the back of her shell as a new form began to slowly emerge. Ruby eyes began to appear from the cracked head as the giant Meganula broke its way out. The similarities began to change from that point onwards, however. Instead of the insect-like mandibles that should have adorned her face, a toothy maw broke out from her former shell. She could feel new power coursing through her as her instincts began to flare, telling her one thing. To expand and conquer.

The male MUTO stood holding the larger super predator down should he awaken, when he remembered something. Seeing that his mate had finished laying her eggs, he let out a slow, creeping roar before taking off towards the nearby lake. As he grew closer, two red eyes glared at him from below the waves as an evil grin formed on her maw.

Water spouted high into the air as a brown figure slammed into the airborne MUTO. He screeched out in surprise as he fell to the ground. Looking upwards, he noticed an odd looking dragonfly hovering above him. Instead of clear and smooth wings, the creature had jagged, claw tipped wings and two pincers on its forelimbs.

Megaguirus screeched out in challenge to her surroundings. She knew that she was no longer like the others of her kind. She was now one of a kind. A queen. She looked down upon the redwood forest below her, finding three creatures in her new domain. Two were also insectoid like her, while the other was reptilian. It was the last one that seemed to irk her for some reason, yet the other two were the current threats. Either way, they stood in the way of her conquest for her species and would be annihilated.

The male MUTO screeched out in return as he took to the air. As he came close to the insect queen, he attempted to swipe his claw at her. As his claw came close, Megaguirus quickly seemed to disappear from view, causing the male to fly through her position. Confused, he began to look around for the airborne killer, finding no sign of her. A distinct supersonic buzz was heard behind him as he felt something slam across his back.

As he turned around, she quickly disappeared once more. Roaring out, he slammed his claws together, creating an electromagnetic pulse. He began to listen for any response feedback, only to realize that his enemy’s high frequency waves were disrupting his echolocation ability. A blur flew past him, slicing into his flesh and leaving a cut across his body. He screeched out in pain, falling to the ground as Megaguirus slammed into him from above. The queen of killers began to slam her clawed pincers against the MUTO’s leathery wings, harming the creature. Hearing a roar behind her, she quickly flew higher into the air as the larger of the black beasts barreled beneath her.

Having finished laying her eggs, the female MUTO screeched out in fury at the new threat. She lifted herself to her full height, trying to threaten the insect to stay away. However, Megaguirus didn’t care how large or small her enemies were. She would still defeat them to spread her territory. This creature posed a threat to her domain with her eggs and thus needed to be killed.

Megaguirus flew towards the female parasite, screeching at her. The two charged towards each other as the MUTO lifted her claws up to strike. Twisting sideways, the claw went past the mutated Meganula as she used her sharp wings to cut across her foe’s leg, earning a cry of pain. Turning around, the towering MUTO attempted to swing her clawed arm at the creature from behind. Megaguirus quickly disappeared, once more using her superior speed to her advantage.

Seeing her opponent disappear, the female MUTO still remained on guard as she went to help her mate up. As she got closer, she was struck across the face by Megaguirus, knocking her to the side. Slowly getting up, she was quickly hit again from the opposite side, causing her to stumble on her long legs. Struggling, she finally managed to get to her feet as she began to search her surroundings. The male MUTO quickly took to the air with his injured wings to try to get a better vantage point.

The two continued to search their surroundings, finding no sign of the insect. Seeing no sign of attack, the matriarch assumed that Megaguirus had left as she turned back to her nest. Once she did so, she learnt of her foe’s true intention. The dragonfly was laying atop the unconscious Godzilla, her stinger imbedded into his side, draining his energy.

The mother roared out as she barreled towards her nest, the father following suit. A grin seemed to form on the insect queen’s mouth as she saw the two rushing towards her. Slowly she took to the air as she began to flap her wings at high speed. She then flew past the male, slicing into his body by vibrating her sharp wings as they struck. He struggled to stay airborne as blood leaked from his side. Another pass cut him across the leg, causing him to screech in pain.

Seeing this, his mate began to charge up energy for a pulse of energy. As she readied to release her power, Megaguirus appeared in front of her. The queen of the Meganula quickly used her powerful pincers to grab hold of her foe’s forelimbs. The MUTO roared out as she began to push back against the flying creature, lifting her arms up to attempt to dislodge her. Bringing her tail down, Megaguirus quickly stabbed forward, imbedding her stinger into the MUTO’s body. Screeching out in surprise, the parasite used her smaller legs to grab hold of the tail, attempting to pull the stinger out of her body. The power she had stored up previously for the EMP was quickly drained away as an orange glow seemed to course through Megaguirus’ tail.

Releasing her hold, Megaguirus flew high into the air with her new stolen energy. She taunted her foe below as she circled above. The parasite roared out, trying her hardest to reach the aerial insect. Each swipe would be quickly avoided with a quick rise or dive. The female MUTO continued her useless effort. causing Megaguirus some glee as her enemy was tiring. In doing so, she had forgotten about the other foe.

A claw smacked Megaguirus from above, knocking the insect queen to the ground. The male roared out angrily as he swooped down upon Megaguirus. He slammed his claw into her underside, causing the dragonfly to screech out in pain. The draconic insect quickly began to flap wildly, causing powerful sonic waves to emit from her wings. She grasped onto her foe’s limbs as she took off at high speed, dragging along the ground as the MUTO was pulled along. She quickly righted herself, flipping the parasite onto the ground and dragging him through the forest. The multitude of trees splintered as they struck his body. The high speed of their flight caused them to bruise and batter his injured body further. Megaguirus then released her hold upon the male, causing him to slide across the ground, crashing into the prone form of Godzilla.

Megaguirus screeched out in glee as she hovered above the scene. Energy began to pulse around her body from her claw tips and stinger. It gathered into her center as a whitish orb of flames began to form. The orb crackled with an orange hue in its center as she waited for her foe to rise. The male MUTO groaned out as he slowly got to his feet. He shook his head free of confusion and turned to Megaguirus. As he did so, she fired the energy orb straight at the two Kaiju. The orb hit them head on, causing an explosion of whitish flames over their bodies along with an EMP disturbing the MUTO’s senses.

Megaguirus cackled in glee as she saw them go up in flames. The female MUTO cried out for her mate after seeing the energy ball strike his body. His pained cries were soon silenced with a sickening snap. From the flames rose a large figure. A loud buzzing could be heard as a large tail swung out from the fire around him. Godzilla released his atomic breath into the air, forcing Megaguirus to dodge to the side. The white hot flames passed beneath the mutated Meganula, setting the forest on fire. Godzilla roared out angrily as he dropped the body of the Male MUTO, having snapped his neck. He looked down solemnly at his deceased kin, before turning to face his prey. Taking a deep breath, he released a long, powerful roar at his opponents.

As she watched this alpha stand tall, Megaguirus knew why she felt the need to kill this creature. It exhumed a powerful presence similar to that of a king. She felt threatened by this creature’s mere existence. Screeching out, Megaguirus hovered off to the side as the other two creatures readied themselves for battle.

Though Godzilla was the first to move, Megaguirus was the first to strike. Godzilla began to charge towards the female MUTO, readying to tackle her down. As he was doing so, Megaguirus quickly slammed her body against the parasite, causing her to screech out in annoyance. She began swiping her claws at the airborne Kaiju, trying to knock her away, only for the Meganula queen to bash them away with her pincers. Megaguirus lunged forth and bit the MUTO in her eye, causing extreme pain for her foe. The dark monster attempted to pry the dragonfly off her using her smaller limbs, only for Megaguirus to release her bite and fly upwards.

Confused and blinded, the MUTO was left defenseless against the oncoming tackle of Godzilla. The alpha predator was quick to slam his bulk into her body, knocking the parasite away. He then rushed forth and bit the MUTO on her shoulder. She struggled to free herself as she felt the alpha grab hold of her limbs. Pulling her legs apart, he quickly grabbed onto her jaw and started to pry her mouth open. Flames filled his mouth as he prepared to fire his breath down the parasitic kaiju’s throat. It was not to be, however, as a sharp pain stabbed into his side. Megaguirus began to drain Godzilla of his radioactive energy as the white flames disappeared in his mouth.

Roaring out in anger, he released the MUTO and turned his attention to the mutant dragonfly. He attempted to bite towards the creature, only for her to smack him across his face with her pincers. Pulling out her stinger, Megaguirus flew backwards away from the two giants and screeched tauntingly. With a burst of speed, Megaguirus slammed her claw into Godzilla’s head, knocking him to the side, right into the claws of the MUTO. He felt a powerful blow strike his neck as she slammed her arms into the dinosaur’s body. She then rammed into him, knocking him back slightly before biting onto his neck.

The two struggled against one another as Godzilla clawed against his natural enemy’s chest. He succeeded in grabbing hold of one of her smaller legs and tore the appendage off. The MUTO screamed out as she backpedaled. Blood leaked from her body in various places as she croaked out. Godzilla rushed forth to take advantage of this opening, only to hear a loud buzzing behind him.

Turning around, he found nothing there. As he began to turn back, he found himself face to face with the insect queen herself. She quickly clamped her sharp pincers against the dinosaur’s throat, trying to suffocate him to death. Megaguirus could feel her claws crushing into her enemy’s gills as Godzilla growled out in pain. He reached up to grab ahold of her claws, managing to grab onto one of them. He began to try pulling the claw off to no avail. Releasing one pincer, she began to smack Godzilla in his head, trying to damage the creature further. The king of the monsters roared out as he took a deep breath. Acting quickly, Megaguirus went to imbed her stinger into his body. Godzilla anticipated this, however, as he grabbed hold of the tail in his other hand. As he went to open his mouth, Megaguirus hastily clamped her pincer onto his jaws, keeping them shut. As energy built up in his body, Godzilla felt himself growing weaker from the toll of his battles.

Megaguirus continued to struggle against her enemy’s powerful grip as she continued to crush his neck. She felt something barrel into her from behind, smashing her body between Godzilla and the other. She screeched out and released her hold. The only good thing about the collision was that it allowed her to imbed her stinger into her enemy’s body as she began to drain the remains of his built up radiation.

The MUTO roared as she prepared to ram into the insect once more. As she ran forth, Megaguirus quickly vibrated her wings, forcing Godzilla to release his grip on her tail from the painful sonic waves. As she flew upward, the parasite barreled into the bleeding Godzilla, knocking him back and breaking some of his bones. The Monster King was struggling to keep his composure as he felt his broken ribs. He found it harder to breathe as he glared at his opponents. Rushing forth, he grabbed hold of the MUTO and tossed her into the air. She swung her arms wildly as her body struck the speeding Megaguirus out of the sky.

Both Kaiju crashed to the ground in separate areas. Godzilla stomped towards Megaguirus, seeing the insect as the larger threat of the two. The MUTO rose to her feet as she watched Godzilla trudge towards Megaguirus. If she survived, she would be able to create a new nest and allow her species to continue being one of the dominant species of the world. Turning around, she slowly began to retreat from the redwood forest. Her wounded legs made it hard, but she would survive should the two not chase after her.

Megaguirus struggled to get airborne once more as she heard Godzilla stomping closer. A powerful tail slammed into her body, causing the insect queen intense pain. It slammed again into her body as Godzilla attempted to crush the insect to death. Upon the third impact, Megaguirus grasped onto the tail and allowed it to launch her away into the air. Godzilla roared out angrily at the insect. Megaguirus screeched back in return as she hovered in the air above.

Slowly, she began to circle the monster king sideways as blue energy coursed through her body. Godzilla turned to continue facing her when he noticed the insect charging up an attack. Acting quickly, he attempted to slam his tail into her body, only to miss barely. She then fired the ball of atomic energy at Godzilla, striking him in the back. The explosion of white flames burst across his dorsal spines, managing to chip and shatter some of the more fragile ones. The leviathan screeched out in pain as he felt his back burn from the powerful flames. He then felt something grasp onto him from behind as Megaguirus clamped her pincers against his neck. Placing more pressure in her claws, she managed to hear a loud snap from the reptile’s body as her claw sunk into his gills. Clamping her pincers shut, she tore them outwards. causing flesh and blood to come flying from the alpha predator’s neck.

Godzilla gurgled out as he slowly fell to the ground. Blood spouted from his neck as he struggled to breath. Megaguirus cackled in glee as she watched her enemy dying before her. She turned to face her remaining enemy only to find she had disappeared. Screeching out in anger, Megaguirus sped around the forest searching for her prey. Finding no sign of her nearby, the Meganula queen screeched out in fury. She would find and kill the wretched beast. She would ensure that the creature would die for the pain she caused. Megaguirus returned her gaze downwards finding Godzilla’s life slowly starting to fade from his eyes. The last thing he saw before death was Megaguirus’s stinger imbedding into his skull.

With her foe dead and her bloodlust sated for the moment, Megaguirus screeched out in victory. With the king dead, only the queen remained to rule. Though one of her enemies had escaped, it wouldn’t be long before Megaguirus killed her. After all, a queen always has subjects to help hunt down her enemies.
