These days Godzilla is EVERYWHERE: shirts, comics, and more toys than anyone thought possible 10 years ago. One bit of merchandise that I never saw coming is here in the form of gaming keyboards and mouse pads from Arbiter Studios.

The keyboard has a nice heft to it and feels very sturdy with its aluminum frame. Using the keyboard, I realize that I type faster with the mechanical keys than I do when compared to a traditional keyboard.
In fact, I’m using the Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah keyboard to type this review. I have the keyboard hooked up to my laptop and it’s my mainstay now since I have always hated using laptop keyboards as I find them difficult to use and I fumble my typing, although I occasionally accidentally bump the delete button while typing, but an easy ctrl+z solves everything.

Another bonus is that the keys are removable, which makes the keyboard much easier to clean should it be needed.

On the right side is a volume control, which is very useful when listening to music/gaming. They keys themselves have decorations on the space bar, tab key, etc. and it adds to the Godzilla theme. The Mechagodzilla keyboard is especially cool because of the hand drawn aspects of the artwork. Also on the keys are Japanese language characters which are, from what I’m told, decoration only.

Speaking of decoration, like most computer related components in recent times, RGB lighting is included in the keyboard and you can change the patterns from pinwheel (RGB swirling pattern under the keys), breathe, static, and other visual options. To do so, go to this link here: Arbiter Studio

I quite like these keyboards and would recommend them to any fan who is into the more hardcore gaming, or if you’re like me and don’t like laptop keyboards, then this is a great alternative.

Moving on to the mouse pads, these are really cool. I’m used to working with just a small mouse pad so to have one that covers my entire desk so I don’t have to keep repositioning the mouse is pretty cool.
The Mechagodzilla themed (sort of) mouse pad looks great with its blueprint style with Mechagodzilla turnaround angle art. For some reason, there’s Godzilla and Mothra art on there as well. The Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah one is based on existing artwork which, if I’m not mistaken, is from IDW Comics. It’s a pretty cool looking piece and it has a a number of monsters like Anguirus and Mothra represented.

Overall, these are welcome additions to the Godzilla merchandise barrage that we’re currently experiencing and it’s great that Godzilla’s name is on quality material.
