November 3rd has once again come and gone. Similar to last year, a host of merchandise and other media has been revealed to commemorate the occasion. Some of the most noteworthy news can be found below!

 

Fest Godzilla 5: All Monsters Showdown

Available for a limited time like the previous live-action shorts, this latest bout has Godzilla and Jet Jaguar facing off against a malevolent King Ghidorah. A Blu-ray release with all 5 Fest Godzilla live-action shorts will also be released on April 16th, 2025 via the Japanese Godzilla Store. Currently, the short movie can only be viewed during the segment where it appeared during the livestream (5:25:12).

 

Godzilla Battle Line x GEMSTONE x Gamera vs. Gyaos

Gigan Rex from the online short movie Godzilla vs. Gigan Rex (2022) is set to appear as a future unit in Godzilla Battle Line. It is aided by Gigan Miles during battle. In addition, a special Gamera vs. Gyaos (1967)-themed collaboration featuring the titular incarnations of Gamera and Gyaos will be appearing next season with Gigan Rex starting November 5th. Gamera is capable of applying one attack nullification on nearby 3-star and lower units when attacking, while Gyaos performs differently depending on if the stage is the daytime or nighttime version. The Godzilla Fest 2024 livestream demonstrated all three monsters in action, though the battle was short-lived.

 

(Chibi) Godzilla Against Kaiju No. 8

Two Kaiju No. 8 collaborations with Chibi Godzilla and the general Godzilla series respectively have been announced, with further details pending.

 

Godzilla vs. Digimon COLOR

2024 marks not only a milestone for Godzilla, it is also the 25th anniversary of Digimon Animation. More details will be revealed at a later date, though two Tamagotchi-esque accessories were teased, as well as the design of a special collaborative monster.

 

New Godzilla Manga

A brand-new Godzilla manga will be appearing in Young Champion magazine beginning in 2025. Credited artists include Shinji Nishikawa (Godzilla Design), Ju Ishiguchi (“Mecha” Design), and Hiroshi Maruyama (“Space Monster” design). The official X account can be followed here.

 

Godzilla Card Game

An official card game spanning the series’ 70 year history, more information will be shared on January 13th, 2025.

 

Latest S.H. MonsterArts Inductee

The 1972 incarnation of Anguirus from Godzilla vs. Gigan is scheduled to be released. More information to come at a later time.

 

Movie Monster Series Mania

A promotional trailer has appeared on the official Bandai YouTube channel, which teases a new “Giga” line with the silhouette of Destoroyah.

In addition, a preview of the special 5-figure box set was shown during the livestream. The set includes King Ghidorah 1964, Kamacuras 1967, Gabara, Anguirus 1972, and Mechagodzilla 1974 and has a release date of December 22nd in Japan, February 2025 in the US.

Lastly, the winner of the fifth fan vote from a pool of ten monsters was revealed to be the Giant Condor from Ebirah, Horror of the Deep (1966).

 

Oxygen Destroyer Plush

Jokingly referred to as a dakimakura, this 62-centimeter-long Oxygen Destroyer plush toy will be a Premium Bandai release for roughly $65 before shipping.

 

Godzilla The Art Exhibition

A celebratory exhibition will be held at the Mori Arts Center Gallery beginning April 26th, 2025 and ending on June 29th, 2025. Artists from both Japan and overseas will share their interpretations of Godzilla during this event.

 

Showstopping Suits

As the Godzilla Fest livestream was airing, several suits were spotted wandering around the area. These included the recreated Godzilla 1954, Jet Jaguar and Showa Gigan suits, Chibi Godzilla, and Final Wars Godzilla.

 

Godzilla Day Tribute from GigaBash

The developers of the four-player monster brawler GigaBash shared a commemorative trailer all about the King of the Monsters.

 

The Godziban Corner

Moving puppet displays of Kumonga, Kamacuras and Showa King Ghidorah were the highlight of the Godziban corner of Godzilla Fest, as well as the first look at Titanosaurus.
