Last year they gave their Cinema Valley Fair theater a giant monster overhaul, and showed a handful of Toho Godzilla films, with more showings planned later this year. Theater chain Alamo Drafthouse recently had a birthday celebration for the King of the Monsters which included showings of The Return of Godzilla (1984) across their many locations on Godzilla Day proper, but a day earlier something extraordinary transpired in Santa Clara, CA. The Alamo Drafthouse location in the Westfield Valley Fair mall ran an epic mystery marathon of Godzilla classics. Mondo has introduced Godzilla to their line of puzzles with a 1,000-piece, 20” x 28” jigsaw version of the 2013 Comic-Con teaser poster for Legendary’s debut MonsterVerse film, Godzilla (2014). It’s a striking image, but one that makes for a brutal puzzle.
