The Type 90 Tank was unquestionably the most powerful and advanced artillery tank ever to come off the lines of the JSDF. Adorned with a mammoth 120-millimeter cannon as its main weapon, the Type 90 Tank plowed through the opposing forces of the world. No other tank could stand against its awesome firepower. However, despite their prowess in standard warfare, the vehicles were not proficient in kaiju elimination. After the UNGCC watched the defeat of the war machine Mechagodzilla, a second military string was sent in to combat the King of the Monsters. Leading the way of ground forces, the 90 Tanks stopped the trampling Godzilla for a brief second. However, their efforts were in vain, and men and machine were stamped underfoot of the towering fanged saurian.

The next time the treaded tanks were seen was in a besieging counter to the Destoroyah conflict. The rows of vehicles, along with the DAG-MB96, cut into the ranks of the crawling monsters with their shelled assault. Unfortunately, the Destoroyahs combined their bodies, transforming into a giant Aggregate form that quickly laid waste to all that dared to attack it.
