The year was 1972 and the Nebula Space Hunter M Aliens had released Gigan and King Ghidorah to invade planet Earth as a means to enact their sinister plans for colonization. The SDF was forced to launch many military vehicles into battle. One of these was the Support Helicopter. A great many of the SDF's finest weapons attacked the tyrannical aliens to no avail, and the Support Helicopter was no exception. The aliens had easily won the battle, forcing the military to retreat.

Godzilla and Anguirus managed to send King Ghidorah and Gigan retreating, but it would not be the last threat to Japan. One year later, Megalon attacked from beneath the Earth's surface and the SDF was on the scene yet again. The Support Helicopters returned to the heat of battle, but did very little to help as Megalon defeated all military resistance swiftly, forcing the SDF to retreat once more. Luckily, Megalon was ultimately defeated with the combined might of Godzilla and Jet Jaguar.

The advent of the pivotal year 1999 saw the return of the Support Helicopter yet again. This time, it was called in for its latest mission as the Kilaakian had gained control over the Earth's most dangerous monsters. They were sent to the Kilaak base with many other SDF weapons only to be halted by the monsters Anguirus and Godzilla. Though the Support Helicopters continued their efforts to turn the tide of battle, it was not enough to stop the leviathans from sealing their destruction. Though the Kilaakian were ultimately defeated and the Earth monsters liberated from the tight grip of mind control, it is unknown whether or not the Support Helicopters have been used in active combat since.
