If any weapon could be worse than the atomic bomb, this would be it. A product of a mad man's will to dominate, the Oxygen Destroyer is the ultimate decider of life. Designed to wipe out entire seas of all flesh and blood beings, the weapon was demonstrated before Dr. Serizawa's love interest. The girl watched with innocent eyes as a miniature fragment of the instrument of destruction removed all the oxygen from the water. Tears wept from her as the colorful fish, which had once been swimming in the large tank, were turned into lifeless skeletons before being completely liquefied. Horrified of the results, Dr. Serizawa made her swear an oath to the creations secrecy. She did agree, but after Godzilla ran through the heart of Tokyo she was forced to break her silence. Telling Ogata, her real love, the man faced the scientist. Telling him that only through his brainchild could the world ever sleep a worry free night again. Serizawa struggled with the dilemma for a while, clawing his mind for the elusive answer. In the end he agreed, yet only this one time must the weapon be used. Suiting up with Ogata in undersea diving suits, the duo approached the sleeping god under the bay of Tokyo. Ogata turned to his alley, who had motioned him to begin his surface. Ogata replies but begins to start screaming for his friend to come up as well. But the man refused and severed both his lines. Knowing that his weapon possess nothing more than evil intentions, he perished with it. Taking the terror from the past with his passing; Godzilla was destroyed.
