The Hatsuyuki Class Destroyer was one of the
earlier battle ships in the Japanese navy by the
earlier 1990's. Though it did possess enough firepower
to sink an entire fleet of smaller vessels, the
craft would truly be put to test with the remergence
of Godzilla. When the nuclear suarian arose out
of Mt. Mihara and began its swim to Japan, the
order was given to stop it. The DD-122 Destroyers,
along with its cousin the DDH-142 Haruna Destroyer,
formed a line of defense in the surrounding waters.
The ships showered the angry titan with heavy
deck fire, but it was less than successful. Godzilla
took the punishment without care, and released
upon them in favor his own blaze. Not even the
sea fairing battleships could hold against the
licking flames of Godzilla's inferno beam.
Years passed before Godzilla came in contact
with another Hatsuyuki ship. This one would follow
his movements, as his body was plagued with an
overwhelming meltdown. The vessel tracked his
course through the Bering Sea, while the Japanese
government tried to figure out how to stem the
impending explosion that lingered in the wading
leviathan.
