As Godzilla fled a military ambush in Manhattan,
three powerful helicopters, the AH-64 Apaches,
were ordered to pursue and destroy the city's
invader. The monster roared as it weaved in and
out of the streets, with the deadly aerial vehicles
following closely behind. As Godzilla perched
atop a tall building, one of the helicopters fired
its heat-seeking missiles. Alas, the limber lizard
was colder than the surrounding buildings, and
the missiles instead struck the Chrysler Building,
resulting in its collapse. The persistent pilots
continued to follow Godzilla to a ruined building,
where it was assumed that the creature was hiding.
Guns and missiles fired, as the shrill roar of
Godzilla seemed to emanate from the resulting
explosions. The pilots weren't prepared, however,
for the ambush that followed...
Godzilla appeared behind them, and immediately
clamped its massive maw onto two of the craft.
The nuclear menace had gained the upper hand,
and it pursued the last helicopter through the
city streets. When the final pilot had assumed
that he had outrun his aggressor, Godzilla rose
from below and sank its teeth into the airborne
craft. Godzilla, having evaded destruction once
more, went into hiding.
