Meters

Energy

The energy bar is required to perform special attacks, which will deplete the meter by different amounts depending on the move. A few grabs also require energy. The bar refills, slowly, whenever the player is not attacking or jumping.

Basic Moves

Block (Hold Back)

A staple in nearly all 2D fighters, holding back in the game will cause the character, excluding the Super-X 2 and Battra Imago, to automatically block when the opponent initiates an attack. While blocking, the first attack made against the player is fully prevented while further damage received, such as in combos, is reduced.

Grab (Forward into opponent)

Pressing Forward while next to an opponent will cause that monster to reach out and try to grab them, bypassing block. While grabbed, the player can perform one of their throws, while the opponent, after a short delay, can conduct a throw move of their own if none has been started yet.

Site Character Notation

For the respective character bios from the game, regular moves will appear in blue while grabs will appear in green. Symbols will also appear next to moves that require energy in the following manner:
: moderate energy usage, : continual energy usage, : heavy energy usage.
