Rodan: The Flying Battleship
Rodan has trouble dealing much damage and lacks range in a lot of his attacks, but his overall speed and versatility partially make up for this. One of his main advantages is that only one of his attacks uses energy, allowing him to stay offensive for most of the match without having to shift to a compromising strategy of attack.

Moves

Peck (II)

Rodan quickly reaches out to strike with its beak. For a standard button attack this move deals surprising damage, although it knocks away the foe making it hard to follow it up with another blow. This move can also be done while jumping or flying.

Wing Strike (While ducking, II)

While crouched, Rodan reaches out with his massive wings to try and strike the opponent. In general, this move has generous reach, although lacks when it comes to dealing much damage.

Kick (While jumping, Down, II)

While leaping, Rodan kicks out with his two feet to strike his enemy.

Swoop Kick (Diagonal jump, Down, II)

In midair, Rodan will expand his wings and kick with his foot as he quickly glides across the screen.

Flight (While jumping, I)

As he is in mid-jump, Rodan will extend its wings to take flight across the arena. While flying, Rodan's energy bar does not replenish.

Dive (While flying, Hold I)

Rodan swoops down quickly. While doing this move, II can be pressed to cause Rodan to do a swooping kick or Forward + I to perform Lift, otherwise this is a non-offensive move. If Rodan touches the ground while doing its Dive he will land instead.

Lift (While flying, Forward, I)

While flying, Rodan will reach out with his talons in an effort to grab his opponent. If successful, he will lift them into the air and then drop them to the ground below.

Tornado (Hold II)

Rodan flaps its wings, creating a Tornado that travels across the screen. This move can also be done in midair or while flying, and when conducted off the ground can be aimed in a direction by pressing the d-pad either up or down.

Fury Pecks (Down, II)

With his enemy in range, Rodan begins to viciously peck away at them repeatedly as blood splatters with each strike.

Drop (Up, II)

Rodan will quickly fly up and pick up his opponent, flying with them briefly in the air before dropping them to the ground below.
