Godzilla
The King of the Monsters is a versatile character with a rather broad selection of moves at his disposable; a few of them tend to be fairly energy intensive, though, while others lack range or damage to make them very useful in the heat of battle. In general, he tends to work best focusing just on his Claw Swipe, Slash, Kick, and Bite moves to attack, while his Atomic Fire works as a good finisher.

Moves

Claw Swipe (II)

Godzilla quickly reaches out with his claw tipped hand and swipes at his opponent. This move can also be done while ducking.

Slash (Hold II)

The King of the Monsters rotates his body, putting his weight into his attack, as he reaches out with his claws to try and slash at his enemy. This move can also be done while jumping.

Tail Swing (While ducking, Hold II)

For this attack, the King of the Monsters quickly turns and swings his tail in the opponent's direction.

Kick (While jumping, hold Down, II)

A simple midair move, where the nuclear behemoth kicks out with his foot to try and strike his opponent.

Stampede (Hold Down, I)

Godzilla quickly rushes across the screen, advancing toward his adversary. This move will last as long as the player holds Down.

Head Rush (While running, II)

As the King of the Monsters is stampeding across the screen, II can be pressed to make the beast try to slam his head into his enemy.

Tail Hook (Down, Back, II)

Godzilla rotates his body in order to swing his tail at his opponent. The move deals a generous amount of damage, but sadly comes with a rather high energy cost for some reason.

Atomic Fire (Down, Forward, II)

Godzilla opens his maw to release a stream of atomic fire at his opponent, the duration of which depends on how long II is held. The attack can be aimed in a desired direction by pressing Up or Down.

Atomic Heat Ray (Up, Back, Forward, II)

The nuclear behemoth releases his signature Atomic Heat Ray. Unfortunately, there is a substantial delay before the beam is actually fired, giving amble time for the opponent to block or simply duck, making this attack often impractical for the energy consumption required.

Atomic Burst (Up, Back, Forward, I, II)

Godzilla leaps into the air as he unleashes a volley of atomic blasts, which will break up into small spurts. Given that this attack has no delay and requires less energy, it tends to be better than his Atomic Heat Ray, even if the damage is lower. This attack can also be done while already in midair, although I does not need to be pressed.

Bite (Down, II)

With his rival in his grasp, the King of the Monsters proceeds to bite them in the jugular several times before loosening his grip and allowing them to collapse on the ground. Overall, this tends to be Godzilla's best grab in terms of damage, ease of use and no energy requirement.

Slam (Up, Forward/Back, II)

Godzilla picks up his enemy and violently slams them into the ground, either in front of or behind him depending on what direction is pressed.

Nuclear Pulse (Down, Forward, II)

Energy, stored from an unfired atomic heat ray, courses through Godzilla's body before being unleashed against the foe still in his grasp. In terms of raw damage, this is one of the best grapple moves in the game, although sadly it comes with a hefty energy requirement.
