Biollante (Rose Form): The Bionic Monster
The first form of Biollante, and one of the few unplayable characters in the game, the genetic creation is entirely immobile in this form. Consequently, the monster resorts to several ranged attacks to keep Godzilla at bay. After sustaining enough damage, the rose part of the creature will open up as its variety of attacks will change. Overall, the creature is incredibly easy to defeat, as she is fairly slow to attack. The best strategy to defeat the monster is simply to stay close and continue to attack as often as possible. The vines can also be destroyed, but in general it's far more effective to just continue to attack the base.

If players are shooting for the highest score, to unlock further characters, people are advised to skip Biollante. The reason being that, despite how easy she is, her attacks are often hard to avoid, which will negatively impact the overall match score.

Moves

Vine Grapple

Biollante's standard opening attack, the genetic monster will reach out and use her vines to constrict Godzilla. This attack can reach across the entire stage if needed, so players should be advised against moving too far away from Biollante.

Submerged Grapple

After the rose opens, Biollante changes her standard grab to one that occurs from under the water. Waves are created where the vine is moving, make it possible to avoid while jumping. However, Biollante will continue to make other attacks in the mean time.

Radioactive Sap Bullet

Occasionally, the fanged vines will unleash a concentrated tri-blast of radioactive sap in the opponent's direction.

Radioactive Sap Spray

Ever so often, the fanged vines will unleash a stream of radioactive sap at Godzilla. Despite appearances, this attack is actually incredibly quick and hard to predict when she will use it, making it very difficult to avoid.

Tentacle Barrier

After being hit enough times, Biollante will eventually erect a barrier comprised of her vines to avoid further damage. Now while this barrier can be damaged, it's generally advisable to just stand completely still while it's up, in order to recharge one's energy meter as Biollante will not attack back and will eventually call down the barrier. After using this move, Biollante will be forced to only use her Vine Grapple for awhile until the fanged vines return.
