| Following on the heels
of CR Godzilla
3S-T Battle comes another gambling based title
utilizing the Godzilla franchise. Rather than a pachinko
machine, though, this game is a Pachislot machine. For
those unfamiliar with the term, a Pachislot game is, as
the title suggests, a variation on the slot machine concept.
Rather than using a singular lever or button to determine
the roll of the slots, Pachislot titles feature three
buttons, each of which controls a column and can be pressed
by the player to stop the roll. This allows for a slight
degree of skill to enter into the game as opposed to the
sole luck factor of traditional slot machines. |

For this game, a very small amount of footage was shot
to promote the title using the Godzilla:
Tokyo S.O.S. (2003) suit. A campaign was then
launched around the concept of a group of individuals,
comically, trying to brainstorm how to advertise the
title and create "realistic" reactions on
a human scale for Godzilla's size and destructive power.
Some examples of their stunts include standing in front
of over a dozen blowing fans and being locked in an
isolated room that was being twirled by a crane. |
