less than favorable, review of Godzilla: Unleashed for
the Playstation 2 has emerged, this time from IGN.

Cheat
Code Central has reviewed Godzilla: Unleashed on
the Playstation 2. Oddly enough, screenshots from the
Wii version are used in the review along with an inflated
23 monster roster figure, which is incorrect for either
console version of the title. Head over to the site
to read their impressions.

Atari has added a listing of the PS2 version of Godzilla:
Unleashed to their online store, which also includes
several screenshots of the game featuring: Godzilla
(2000), Anguirus, King Ghidorah and Gigan (Showa). The
page also shows a very small image of the box art for
the PS2 version, which is similar to the one for the
Wii except that Biollante has been taken out and replaced
by, what appears to be, the Millennium version of Gigan
in the lower left corner (Update: as can be seen
from the box art above, it seems this was changed to
the Showa Gigan in the end).

IGN has a trailer for the PS2 version of the game. The
video shows a plethora of characters, all of which appeared
in Godzilla:
Save the Earth as well. Those witnessed include:
Godzilla (2000), Destoroyah, Orga, Anguirus, SpaceGodzilla,
Moguera, Fire Rodan, Megalon, King Ghidorah, Baragon,
Jet Jaguar, Mechagodzilla (Heisei), Mecha-King Ghidorah,
Megaguirus and Gigan (Showa). The latter character has
not previously been seen in the Wii version, and might
be one of the "exclusives" for the PS2 title,
if one ignores his appearance in the DS offering.

Atari has released the first two screenshots of the
PS2 version of the game, with Godzilla (2000) and Anguirus
squaring off.

Destructoid has posted a article for the PS2 version
of the game, which includes the first screen shot for
the title. The shot shows Gigan facing off with King
Ghidorah. The shot is with the Showa Gigan, which could
possibly be one of the exclusive characters for the
PS2 console, at least compared to the Wii build.
UPDATE: The image attached to this article is apparently
fake, and is, in fact, a photoshop job using resources
from Godzilla:
Save the Earth coupled with things like the
crystal added into the background. We apologize for
the confusion.

A press release was distributed by Atari today concerning
the PS2 version of Godzilla: Unleashed. The document
doesn't state a great deal of new information, except
some key facts including that the PS2 version will have
"at least 20 monsters", including some not
found in the Wii or DS version. It should be mentioned
that the PSP version of the game is not referenced at
all in the press release, which could possibly mean
this is what has become of that title or it's development
is still far off.
