Description

Yet another scheme of the Garogas invaders was foiled. Retreating, the Gold Garogas summoned forth a hidden Terror-Beast that lay dormant within a lake. Its capsule broke open and the golden titan emerged, attacking Hikaru as he chased after the aliens in the family’s flying vehicle. The fight took to the surface and it used its mist to damage the flying car, causing Hikaru to exit and transform into Zone Fighter. Waging war in the water, the two forces collided. They seemed evenly matched until Gelderah’s large fangs sunk into the back of the hero’s neck. Weakened, Zone Fighter was pushed back and the fight went on land, endangering the nearby populace. Despite the pain tearing through his neck, Zone Fighter began to fight on with renewed vigor. With his desire to protect innocent lives, the Terror-Beast could no longer overpower him. Zone Fighter fired a volley of his Meteor Missile Might, followed by a wide variation of his Meteor Slice Shot, decapitating the leviathan before it could cause any serious damage to humanity.

Corrosive white smoke

From its jaws, Gelderah can release a steady stream of white smoke. What this misty smog does exactly is never explained, but it was capable of causing a small explosion either on or within the Zone Family’s flying car. When the smoke touched the earth, it generated small flashes of light within the mist. The smoke didn’t leave any noticeable damage on Zone Fighter, nor did he suffer any side effects after being exposed to it.

Background and Trivia
  • According to Toho Special Effects: All Kaiju Illustrated Encyclopedia, its place of birth was on the planet Garoga Baron (Japanese: ガロガバラン星), the homeworld of the Garoga aliens. While its subtitle is listed as being "Red Brain Terror-Beast" (Japanese: 赤色頭脳恐獣), it is merely referred to as "Terror-Beast" (Japanese: 恐獣) during its entrance in the show.
