And why was FW Gigan in it?!

Because the cutscenes are the same ones that are in the Wii.

Check out this review. Much like the Cheatcc.com review of GU, this one uses the Wii screens in the review for the PS2 version. I did comment though. I'm tired of cheesy reviews like this one

So Titanosaurus and Biollante aren't in the PS2 version? Wow...that's pretty awful. Also, how is it that (Showa) Gigan counts as a "new" kaiju? Actually, Battra barely even counts seeing as he's a clone of Mothra (which is quite lame). I was going to buy both versions, now I'm thinking that might not be the best idea..

Don't forget that you get Orga2, a Rock/Magma monster with generic Dino Roars. It's Awesome! Smile

...In America.

Lol Yes he's an Orga 2 but lets face the facts that all fighting games have a clone of another. Street fighters Ryu has Ken...Smash bros C. Falcon has Ganondorf..and it goes on and on.

But there won't be any more clones in Brawl. Smile

However at least Ken has various different moves than Ryu, Obsidius is the same thing except for the beam. Smile

This is partly why I wish Godzilla games would stop coming out in fighting game form.

Hmmm. Right away he says you begin with a few monsters from the "Earth Defense Force"

That's wrong. There is no such faction. The Earth Defense Force was in a Godzilla movie. Right away, I feel that the reviewer didn't really spend any time with the game. Sigh.

In all fairness, I don't blame the guy... Nevertheless, such reviews are thrown out the window. For good or ill, if you want to review something, you should have a solid grasp on that thing. Reviews should be impartial and factually accurate, as well as well-studied. Unfortunately, MOST reviews are not. I've seen many reviews for games where the reviewer ADMITS they never even finished the game, or played it thoroughly. Such unprofessionalism disgusts me. But, alas, the internet is full of people like that reviewer.

Oh, you are NOT comparing Street Fighter to this straight-up clone. Did they even GIVE Obsidious any original moves, aside from cosmetic differences? Same with Battra. Ken and Ryu also play as differently as night-and-day. Clearly you have never played anything beyond Street Fighter II. Ken and Ryu have vastly different fighting strategies. Attempting to fight as Ryu -with a totally different moveset- while using the same strategy as you would fighting as Ken would land you the world's BIGGEST ass-kicking. Orga and Orga2, however, play THE EXACT SAME, from all evidence we've seen and heard from those with first-hand experience. Hell, even back in the day of Mortal Kombat, Scorpion and Sub-Zero -two characters that started as pallette swaps- had different special moves and strategies. Where is THAT with StE2?

Answer: It doesn't exist. They are clones. No other fighter I have ever played since the days of 2D fighters have had such dirrect copies in a game.

Well, I can unlock the cheat code entry thing but with no codes to put in, I can't do anything

Yes I do recant the Ryu and Ken statement with the exception of Street fighter II ...OOHH But I did find one thing Battra does that Mothra dosent...when he transforms he causes the system to lock up for a moment..pathetic...Also anyone noticed the broken throw mechanic? I tried doing my favorite thing and toss a monster into a building he maybe went up and out a bit from me..this game just seems to be a smack in the face black eye moment for Godzilla..I think if Toho wanted a good Godzilla game they should contact Capcom they have a decent track record with fighting games.

I feel like I've been KOed.

Yes I recall EX series being bad...When Compared to what SF is, but it's still a good fighting game.

Decent? Capcom's One of the best!
