i personally hate the idea of a monster creator. i buy godzilla games to play as godzilla or other toho monsters... not to make my own...

It's a pretty tough thing to make right as IR pointed out, not to mention balance.

Customisable skin colors, beams and so on would be cool, but still doubt it would be possible seeing how Toho is about its stuff.

Considering Toho not wanting Godzilla fighting superheroes and not allowing non-Godzilla monsters in their fighting games, would Toho even allow a character creator/customizer into a Godzilla game?

Yeah, good point, I think Simon Strange mentioned there being big issues just with the skin hues for different players.

I dont get the desire for a character creator in a Godzilla game.

Arent we playing these games to play as Godzilla characters? I mean, at least wait till we can get all of the actual Godzilla monsters in there. lol.

It would be cool but I don't see it happening unless its some big online RPG type of game. Skins in the next game might work but we never got skins in GU or STE because the game engie was unable to support. I thinks skins will work to avoid clones since Kiryu Saga Godzilla can be a skin for G2k and Showa MG2 can a be skin for Showa MechaGodzilla.

I like the idea of custmizing characters for sure. Maybe even throw in a "Be a Kaiju" mode where you start off as a monster with limited abilites and then power up your monster by earning power up points by doing diffrent tasks like destroying cities, saving cities, fighting other monsters and such. Each task would get progressively harder as your monster levels up and you'd need to upgrade diffrent atributes of your monster and depending on your monster your attributes can be anything. Another thing that could be done is things with beam weapons and such like possibly changing a monsters beam into something else or giving a monster that has no beam a beam if you so desire. From what I've seen in other games things like this can be done if you get the right people on it.

People want to put in some creativity, and they also want to have their own characters mess with Godzilla.

I don't want a character creator much, but it's not a bad idea. It's just not worth the massive work it'd require.
