Official The Amazing Spider Man Thread

Postby gvamp » Tue Jul 27, 2010 11:24 am

We have our new Spider Man and stuff so all we need now is our villian.

Personally I hope the villian is the Lizard. Ever since Spidey first came to the big screen 8 years ago I've wanted him to be in the movies. I hate how he got teased in SM2 and SM3 and to some extend SM1 by name only.

So who would you guys like to see as the villian in the reboot?

Still don't like this idea, still think they should of let raimi do what he wanted instead of forceing him to leave do to their doucheyness, and I'm going to continue being butthurt until I see a trailer or something that changes my mind.

I'd like to see Doc Oc again. He's cool. But whatever happens in the first one, they need to do a proper Venom in the sequel.

I'm all for the Lizard in this movie. I'm just hoping they manage to capture the charcter of Peter like they did in the Spectacular series.

^ Spectacular Spiderman was awesome!

I would actually really like to see the Lizard, but I somehow doubt that will happen... I'm still upset at how the previous trilogy hinted at him so much, only for Dr. Connors to never become the Lizard.

Venom wasn't done bad, it's just he didn't have enough screentime or he didn't mention anything about brains.

Hence "proper." In a two and a half hour film, the final villain should have more than ten minutes of screentime.

I agree with Doc Oc being cool, but I really hope they dont tarnish the greatness that was Spiderman 2. But the Venom thing will definetly happen by the second film, and I have no doubt it will be done much better.

I hope to see Lizard as the villain. He was the first villain to appear in the 90's Spider-Man series, and it work out fine.

It has to be Lizard. PLEASE. If this becomes a series I'd also like to see Mysterio, Scorpion, Rhino, etc. I love all the classic Spidey villains.

anyone else find it slightly humorous that Christopher WEBB is directing a Spider-Man Movie?
Don't try to be something else. Don't try to be less. Great things are going to happen in your life. Great things. And with that will come great responsibility.

Do you know what he wanted to do? I mean don't get me wrong, I LOVE Sam's Spider Man Trilogy. Its probably my favorite Superhero film series, but the story he wanted for 4 was horrible IMHO. I'd rather just want for a few more years and then do the reboot. Its way too early for a reboot for one of the most sucsessful film series of all time.

Raimi's idea for Spidey 4 was a little sketchy. Black Cat as Vulture's sidekick? Come on...

Its actually Marc Webb directing the movie. Although that is slightly humorous, sadly Sony may have hired him for that reason alone. The guy has only made one film and it was 500 days of Summer.

I'm finding this hard to believe. It seems odd that Webb would go after two actors from Inglorious Basterds to play the same roll...

That article is a little confusing it says that he's not in the role but when the role is cased it will be a big actor, does that mean we are getting Lizard as the villian or that the reboot's villian is going to be a big name actor?
