Wouldn't be a very visually impressive boss.

Agreed, sounds like a cool idea for a sub-boss but not for a Boss.

I think Mechagodzilla '70s style could make a pretty good final boss. I mean, his attacks are of course limited for balance, but remove the limits and he'd be virtually invincible.

I voted for Monster X since he's one of the very few Toho kaiju not to appear in a game to date. He was the final boss in Final Wars (him and Keizer Ghidorah), so why not?

MechaSpacegodzilla! :huge:

Probably a crap idea, but how about something like this:

The penultimate boss features the player battling Spacegodzilla, King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla and Destoroyah, with the order you fight them in, and the number of them you fight depending on the number of players and the difficulty setting. (ex. Hardest setting with one player, fight both Ghidorah and MechaG).

Eventually, a nuke, or some other weapon explodes, fusing the four monsters into a gigantic chimera...thing, that towers over the player's (or players') monster(s). After getting their ass(es) kicked for awhile, another nuke or weapon explodes, granting the player monster(s) a super mode (ex. Godzilla--> Burning Godzilla/Super Godzilla, Mothra--> Armor Mothra), allowing them to fight this Final Boss on even ground.

I freaking love this idea. Anything to get more non-Godzilla Toho monsters in the next game.

Toho would never approve.

Nonetheless, Orochi would be epic.

matango and dogora (and varan, moguera, gezora and baragon) were in MoM for the NES...

Yeah but once the 2000's hit Toho stopped doing that, in fact when they were making the Atari games Toho said no monsters that never showed up in a Godzilla film, hence why we don't have guys like Desghidorah.

Isn't Orochi in the public domain though? Just saying.

Orochi is a mythological creature, technically. In theory it wouldn't be any different then if they put in a giant Medusa.

However, they'd probably oppose it because it's "not a Godzilla monster".

But this thread isn't run by Toho's producers. So my vote still goes for Orochi.

Yeah, in 1988. Varan and Baragon were also in DAM.

Toho's policies changed a lot in the late 1990's, and as Simon Strange said in Project G, Toho only allows Godzilla monsters in Godzilla products. While they are lenient and what counts, it still has to be in a Godzilla movie - per example, Gaira counts since he had a stock footage cameo in Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla - so would Gezora as a result of GFW. I believe Showa Moguera would count since Heisei Moguera was in our series.

Orochi was only in The Three Treasures and Yamato Takeru though, neither of which have any connection to the Godzilla series besides both being Toho-made.

Does anyone know where this image from? I'm asking mostly because of the curious G-Force logo up in the corner. Maybe it would qualify then? I dunno.

If Toho allows it, I'm all for it. He'd put King Ghidorah to shame.

He could as well be too easy, Uber menacing bosses tend to swing between VERY Broken or Ultra Easy.

Dunno, depends on the developer, he could end up doing new stuff, so yeah, I can say much about the moveset.
