Hm... Well, some bad episodes I can think of.. Well, really... Pod People. It was my first true full viewing, and I used to praise it...But after a while... it kept getting... dated.

But, check out the ones I recommended.
Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonder
Space Mutany
Santa Claus vs Satan
Wild World of Batwoman
Giant Spider Invasion.

Don't watch ones, only if you want to be punished...
Manos, hands of Faith
One about wacky undead zombie creatures with a giantass title...
Monster a Go-Go
Beast of Yucca flats
Hobgoblins
Red Zone Cuba.

The acting is SO terrible in some of these...
How about Hobgoblins or Overdrawn at the Memory Bank?

Oh man. Overdrawn is a great SciFi era one. Hobgoblins, only watch that if you think your mind can take it....

I'm more interested in seeing Devil Fish, mainly due to this:

Like I can tell or care about what makes good acting.
Hobgoblins, only watch that if you think your mind can take it....

If I could figure out the junk that happened in 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shinning, End of Evangelion, Diebuster, RahXephon, and Betterman I seriously doubt some B-Movie is going to go over my head.
You are the first person I've ever met who insists that MST3K riffing makes bad movies even worse, AH.

I'm also possibly the only Gundam fan that didn't find Zeta Gundam depressing.

That's not what he's saying. I think you missed his point.

That one's a riot, in my book at least.

Oh trust me when I tell you... This makes some of those movies look like gods... But...But I'm not going to spoil it for you.... Just... some scenes...don't make sense... some scenes... are totally uncalled for....

Another good one, actually,
Girl in Gold Boots
Gorgo [It's an ok movie, but some riffs are hilarious]
Zombie Nightmare, staring Adam West.
and a few others that names escape me now... But try some of the ones you haven't seen. Sometimes, the riffing makes you interested in seeing the movie afterwards.

Anyone remember Turkey Day on Comedy Central?

The first one was 48 hours of MST3K, the second was 24, then 12 hours, then 8 hours.... I remember setting my alarm clock every 2 hours hoping to catch a Gamera or Godzilla movie.

You can't tell when acting is good or bad?

The only times I thought acting was bad were in the movies Razorteeth and Kottentail, the latter of which is hilariously awesome.
But try some of the ones you haven't seen. Sometimes, the riffing makes you interested in seeing the movie afterwards.

Very well, but only ones I can find later.

AH, dont even waste our time or yours.

Youre not going to watch it. You say you did like GxG and dont, or youll say you will like MG and dont.

The show has a HUGE cult following. You can watch the movie, or you can watch the comedy with Joel, Mike and the Bots. There are sleeper episodes that will put you to sleep, and there are epic ones that will make you busy your sides.

But keep in mind...ALOT of this comedy is dry and/or witty.

Oh good...AH destroying another perfectly good thread with his "I think this show sucks" attitude.

God, I'm so tired of this.

Anyway, I find that the films I've never watched before are even more funny on MST3K than the ones I have watched. Hell, as I recall, the only ones I watched before the MST3K version were the Godzilla films. And Godzilla vs. Megalon is one of my favorite MST3K's now.

Honestly, AH, if you're going to watch eight episodes of MST3K just to say that you think the show sucks or to prove a point you're trying to make, then don't do this. Its really not going to be worth the trouble and effort in the end. So just stop before this goes too far.

This.

AH giving MST3K a "fair shot" isn't going to accomplish anything. My guess is he'll give a handful of episodes a half assed once over and come back here saying his opinion hasn't changed. So why bother?

Maybe because it might be a good series and I just watched a couple of dud eps.

I will see some episodes, how about I rack it up to nine?

I'm trying to get into the series and I'm starting to get bombarded over nothing, how did this happen?

Because you judged it without seeing it. YouTube clips do not constitute an opinion of an 11 year series.

You're thinking of RiffTrax, because I haven't seen YouTube clips of MST3K. :?

I hate to admit that I liked Laserblast. I took it into my junior year class for satire discussion.

I laughed my ass off whenever they "Are you ready for some football?!"

Dude, you already watched The Final Sacrifice and you said you didn't like it.

I'm going to be honest...not only is that my personal favorite episode of MST3K, but its one of the best episodes. If you didn't like Zap Rowsdower, then you're not going to like MST3K...

...And then there's something seriously wrong with you. I showed that episode to a group of friends, who had never seen an MST3K episode before, and they laughed their asses off. Now, I'm lending almost every single episode of MST3K that I own to my friends, so that they can get into the series. And that was because of The Final Sacrifice.

Not liking the MST3K of The Final Sacrifice = Instant Facepalm

I really enjoy & miss this show. a simple Google search brings up a vast majority of the episodes, I still enjoy watching them. I still think my favorite era was seasons 2-4. Not just because they showed 2 Godzilla films, 5 Gamera films, and a host of other Japanese films awfully dubbed & edited by Sandy Frank, but because I honestly felt the show was at its peak. When Mike came in , the show was still funny, and the movie was Exceptionally Great!, but nothing later on was as good IMHO as seasons 2-4. I also just got into Rifftrax. I only purchased Transformers 1& 2, but later I plan to pick up a couple more. If the show was still on I'd say "Keep circulating the DVD's" ;)

Mega bump because this immortal show deserves better than a two page argument with HeWhoMustNotBeNamed.

Picked up volume 23 today. The Lippert documentary is fantastic and Last of the Wild Horses is a must own episode.

I love this show! I discovered it when I was looking for bad movies to watch and I fell in love with it. Its unfortunate that I havent been able to find that many I can watch on the internet but I have seen between 15-20 of them. The segments in between the films are just hilarious. I am a big Mike Nelson fan and the theme tune is one of the all time greats ill tell you that for nothing!

I say why not? Cinematic Titanic redid Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, and most love it. Plus, it'll be nice to hear Mike and Bill riff on the legend.

Plus the Rifftrax Live shows are a blast. I watch their Christmas Shorts and House on Haunted Hill shows regularly.
