Unless they do something really cool with the creature I dont see how it could be that much different then what they did with with the Giganotosaurus or Spinosaurus. (I know they are very different creatures, but in terms of the show there is only so much you can do with a giant theropod.) However, I've been wrong before both the Pristichampsus and Kaprosuchus worked without seeing too similar.

Well the Spino felt fairly different from the Gigs in the show.

I'd like if it was someone had captured them, they got out, one or more went for the team, and in a moment of territorial rage, the rest inadvertently saved them

No idea of a season 6, but Canada is doing a spinoff set in the same reality, but dealing with non-uk anomalies

America is getting one too from what I've heard.

Also I'm pretty sure that news is fake about their not being a Series 6 because the person who posted it claims to work for ITV yet they have terrible grammar/spelling and they don't even know ITV's schedule. He/She made a post mentioning that Episode 3 would be airing on Saturday in the UK and didn't know when Episode 4 would be airing they assumed this upcoming Sunday, something you should probably know if you, you know work for the broadcast company.

I dont see how a Primeval spin off could satisfy me as a fan. Seeing creatures is fun and all, but at this point I honestly watch alot of the show for the characters, even if they do tend to die off at an alarming rate.

The characters is what does it for me too, I dread an american remake show much like I'm dreading the American "Being Human". As for characters dying off it's either they leave their job or get killed off. And someone like Stephen or Cutter I don't see them just leaving something that important hence why they need to be killed off.

In terms of character, I noticed something. Cutter stopped being cheesy by mid-S2. And...thank god Stephen died...he was SOOOOO boring. I like Hilary *heh* a lot more.

To be honest I enjoyed Cutter all the way through. Hes the part I miss most about the old show.

I'm still hoping to see Cutter make a return down the road, and we find out it was his clone who bit it in that infamous episode.

Well his clone did die, and that wouldn't really make sense. Still would be nice to see him again.

If they can do alt realities (Jenny/Claudia) then they can rewrite cutter back into the show if Henshall decides to come back.

Just saw episode 2. Excellent stuff. I like that Duncan was reintroduced. And the boar-croc may be one of my favorite creatures yet.

And I'm really looking forward to episode 3 now too.

I actually caught the new ep, as well as the rerun of previous ep. I had no idea wtf was going on with Abby and Connor stuck in the Cretaceous. When/how the hell did that happen?

And the horrible inaccuracy of the Kaprosuchus completely turned me off. Good lord. The thing looks badass enough without making it look like a literal boar-croc chimera.

Nope. Haven't really been keeping up with the series past season 2, hence me being lost on that part.

To be honest, I love that design. Its not any crazier then what they did with the Dracorex last season.

Why? I mean, as a guy in the field, I've got no problem with it. When Discovery or History channel get things wrong or make them up, it's one thing. They are supposed factual shows which change things because "it's cool", defeating the purpose. These kind of things though are just about stupid fun. They alter animals to make them as visually striking as possible. Make them bigger, spikier etc. And they make some up. You can't apply science to these shows as it has no real place in them.

Episode 3 is defiently my favorite of this series the Abboreal Dinosaur aka Tree Creeper is skreeonk awesome creature. It reminds me a lot of the Lizard from SM in a way and hopefully if SM reboot does indeed have the lizard they take some stuff from this creature.
