Monster Discussion #38: Titanosaurus

Hard to find good pics of this guy...

I like Titanosaurus for what he is. A simple dinosaur under alien mind control. He's a nice T&C fighter.

It's cool to see Mechagodzilla have a sidekick when Godzilla had one in the previous film. It gives Godzilla more of a struggle.

Titanosaurus is a personal favorite of mine. He's got a really cool design and I don't find his roar annoying. I like his backstory of a peaceful dinosaur being forced to work for evil. Makes him a bit tragic. Plus, it's cool the Showa Mechagodzilla got a sidekick. Gives Godzilla a run for his money.

One of my favorite monsters. A basic monster, but he has a fantastic design. I really hope that he resurfaces one day.

Why isn't this guy in more films? He's the last monster of the Showa films, you think he would be pretty famous. He also gains points for being the last tooth & claw fighter who has no beam in the Showa flicks.

Plus, it's cool the Showa Mechagodzilla got a sidekick. Gives Godzilla a run for his money.

Makes for a nice contrast doesn't it? Godzilla always had an ally to back him up when fighting a super monster (cept for against Hedorah) so the second time he fights MG Godzilla has no ally and MG does. He would have died were it not for Interpool and the JSDF. Darkest hour indeed.

Such an awesome monster, he has a roar that stands out and you'll never forget it. The last Showa monster, he was just all around cool. One of my favorites.

Haven't gotten around to UM Jack yet considering I'm still trying find subs for UltraSeven. Not sure what exactly he has to do with Titanosaurus other than a very vague resemblance.

Yeah and that sort of comment was cute the first time. Lamango has officially killed it.

I feel bad for Muruchi though. His death was so damn violent.

Tragic aquatic dinosaur death, right? Both have saurian and fish like qualities, right? Same damn thing, just different cover.

Yes, you'd have to be pretty dim to not notice the basic similarities. I'm not sure if you're sincerely insinuating that Titanosaurus is some sort of rip-off or if you're just trying to start your own running gag but I don't see how Titano sharing a few things in common with Muruchi is a bad thing at all. I woudn't even consider Muruchi's death all that tragic either, just incredibly violent.
