Anything pre-1996 is awesome sauce.

GunsmithCATS, Dirty Pair, Riding Bean, Lodoss Wars, Arslan.

Personally I still love Armitage the III, Ghost in the Shell, Lupan the 3rd, Tenchi Muyo! and Koko wa Greenwood.

You can find it on Netflix.

Oh. *finds and adds to queue* Why didn't I think of that sooner?

So I just got back from seeing the first two episodes of Heroic Age and, well, aside from the rather bleh opening and ending themes this series already kicks serious amounts of a$$. So awesome and actiony. DL, let me know when you start getting into Aquarion.

BTW am I the only one here that's been watching Kekkaishi on Adult Swim? It's actually not bad.

I have Genocyber on VHS. I dont even know if it ever got a R1 DVD release. I remember in the early 90's when there were a few Anime's that got early releases (so expensive like $30.00 for only 2 1/2 hour episodes) I remember Appleseed (the original), Gunbuster, the original Dangaioh (not that hacked up US DVD version). I am so glad I was able to rent & dupe them all since most have nothad a legit DVD release.

Oh yeah, and I totaly agree with AH that Giant Robo had a ton of "???" moments, but still fun to watch, I heard there was a new Giant Robo 13 episode series in 2007, but I have yet to see it. I'll always like GaoGaiGar (and the other Brave series as well) Especially since I found out they filled in for Transformers when there was no Transformers Anime' series in Japan from 1991-1997.

Giant Robo the Animation The Day The Earth Stood Still is one of the greatest anime series.

I very strongly disagree with this statement. I can barely watch it because it makes no goddamn sense. I've watched the DVDs all of twice since buying them like 4 years ago, and the second time was just for the sake of doing stats for the Archives.

Rewatched the Haruhi: Endless Eight saga. Awesome.

Now, I'm thinking of actually going after something serious. Or perhaps finally giving Revolutionary Girl Utena a look. Dunno yet.

Dunno if you've ever watched any of it before, but K-ON! is pretty decent. Definately not a very serious anime, hah. It's also pretty far from what I normally watch, but I like it quite a bit nonetheless.

Never heard of it. But it beats watching the same things over and over again so I'll give it a shot. Thanks, man.

It gets alot better once the other Nodos pop up like Karkinos and Mehitak.

I watched the first 3 eps of Aquarion and I gotta say...this show sucks. I hope that this show has an ending where everybody dies, if not then I'm gonna be displeased. I don't give a damn about any of the characters, none of them are interesting. The plot is meh. I dislike the CGI used in this show, the mechas moving around didn't look very fluid which makes the fights not very entertaining for me. Hell, the CGI in just about all of Zoids shows looked better than the CGI in Aquarion. I'll give it a few more episodes to see if it redeems itself, but I doubt that it will.

Can't wait for the next chapter in Bleach to see what Aizen will do against Gin's god killing spear

I never care for Bleach, and I think the last chapter I left off at was when they first show off Gin's Bankai which was stated to move at Mach 500 and can grow to 13 kilometers (I think he later admitted that this was a lie later on).

I doubt his killing spear will do anything due to Plotkai.

I dislike the CGI used in this show

It was made by the same guys that made Ghost in The Shell.

It does so don't worry. Aquarion is one of those series that takes time to develop and gets better as it progresses. It also gets a lot darker.

Wait, what? They seemed pretty fluid to me.

AH- I know you've been watching a lot of the classic Go Nagai stuff lately. Did you ever get a chance to watch any of the new Z Mazinger?? I had to own the series once I knew of its existence, but there are plenty of places to stream the seies on-line, of and it has an opening theme that wont disappoint, it is quite kickass if you ask me. The ending theme is a little lame, but the series itself is pure awesome!
