About you

Postby Cinematic Kaiju » Tue Aug 03, 2010 10:46 am

Well, i figure i make a topic getting to know each other better, just general facts about you, hobbies, goals, where do you see yourself in years to come.. anyways... heres me..

I'm Mike. I was born here in Central New York, and have lived here since January 7th, 1986. It's a shitty place in my opinion. Some would agree, some would not. Either way, it does have it's up's and down's like most places on this earth.

10 words that describe me: Loyal, Confident, Motivated, Out-going, Funny, Loving, Unique, Sarcastic, Rebellious, and Hard-Working.

I am a really big movie person - always have been since a little boy. I grew up watching horror movies non-stop, mainly Halloween, Friday The 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. As well as Giant monster movies (Godzilla, Gamera, King Kong, etc) I do go to Horror Conventions and meet the stars from all the horror movies, which is an AMAZING experience. But, that doesn't say I am not a fan of other genres such as Action, Comedy, Sci-Fi and Drama.

I'm not really a sports fan - I am a HUGE fan of WWE though. I've tried getting into football, baseball but it just doesn't interest me. Maybe one day somebody can make me interested and make me understand it.

I love traveling too. Nothing better than a flight on a plane and/or a long drive.

I have always wanted to be involved in film making in some sort of capacity, whether it be a director, special effects, or a small acting part. I'm not really big into acting. So, when I'm not really doing much, I try to imagine things in my head and write them down for a screenplay to write and hopefully film it on my camcorder and edit it all together. Also, I have an amazing eye for photography :)

Though, more of a MOVIE person than a MUSIC person.. I do listen to rock. I am not really a big fan of rap music, but that does not change my opinion on others' tastes. My favorite bands of all time are Metallica, AC/DC and Blue Oyster Cult. I do like some of todays music such as Saliva, Disturbed, Shinedown, Limp Bizkit and Seether.

I am single. I have no children.

I'm a KID trapped in an ADULTS body. Deal with it :) No one and NOTHING can change me. I quite enjoy being MYSELF thank you very much :)

I love my friends -- in a heterosexual way lol. They mean a lot to me.

I do not have any tattoos as of yet - as of right now, I do have a quite a few of them planned out when I get the money and when I get the physique that I acquire in time. My body has been described as Athletic/Average. I have my own style, so I am not categorized as Gothic, Ghetto/"Thug", Punk, Prep, Emo, Skater, nor any other categorization. I do not talk like I am a thug, nor do I dress like it. I feel as if I am a guy that is from the years of the 1950's to 1980's.

Personally, I'm NOT perfect. No one is. I have done things in the past that I do regret, and those mistakes will NOT happen again because I learn from them and move forward and start over. I don't have the whitest teeth compared to a playboy model. I'm not in the armed forces and I certainly don't wear a dog tag around my neck. I am not "ripped" like a football player. I am who I am, and that is simply ME.

I'm not necessarily a big fan of going out to bars and/or night clubs. I've had my experience of tagging along w/ friends to go to such events, and to be honest, I don't fit in that type of scenery. I don't drink (maybe on special occasions) NOR do I smoke anything. I can think of a better time than doing stuff like that. Not to say I have anything against anyone that smokes and/or drinks.

I can be a wise ass. But, this wise ass does have a heart, and I can be the sweetest guy you'd EVER meet. I'm caring and honest. I accept people for who and what they are and will NEVER attempt to change them. On that note I should mention that I refuse to change for anyone regardless of who they are and who they WANT me to be, so if you don't accept me for me, then don't bother with me. I tell it like it is. I can be sarcastic at times and be a total goof but in reality I am polite and I love making people laugh and smile. I also have a dark sense of humor. I dislike the fact when people make me feel awkward and/or embarrassed - it's one of the worst feelings.

I am a texting whore. hah.

My current goal is that I am saving so I can move back out on my own (again.. and this time moving to Syracuse) because I had an apartment last year and I lost it because of some ridiculous reasons; Had a good job, lost it due to some stupid reasons, had a hard time finding a good job, then lost my apartment because it turned into a health hazard (mold and mildrew growing underneathe my bed, ohhh i still wish i had those pics eww), moved back in with my mom who treats me like dirt but treats my scumbag brothers who have been to jail like gold, she kicked me out, so i moved back in with my grandma and thats where i am right now. I am working 2 jobs, one full time doing security and another part time at a gas station. I am working on getting a 3rd job, because I am THAT motivated to get my life straightened out so last year doesn't happen again. Plus, I'm trying to save extra for G-fest next year :-P

Lastly, in coming years, I see myself working ONE good job rather that 3 haha, maybe i'll have a girlfriend, we'll see what the future holds on that one.. and in 2014 or 2015 I plan on going to Japan for a couple week vacation :)

Ok, thats enough of my ranting lol your turn guys :)

I'm Ryan. Born in Burlington, WI, July 7, 1992. I still live in Burlington. It's not very large, but I don't mind (less gang violence to worry about).

Words that describe me: Large, unmotivated, bright, lazy, & quiet.

The only movies I'm really interested in are monster movies and action films. Mind you, I'll still watch comedies and dramas if I'm in the mood.

Really not big on sports. Why? First grade: upper front teeth get kicked in during a game of 'Kill the Carrier'; left eye hit with a wiffle ball. Summer between 5th and 6th grade: Left eye hit with a baseball. Freshman year: Hit in the netherregions with a dodgeball (mind you, back then we used volleyballs for dodgeballs). Sophomore year: Left eye hit with a rubber ball used for floor hockey, I was the goalie. Junior year: Left eye (FML) hit with a football & I was tackled that very same class, we were playing Flag Football. Senior year: Think freshman year dodgeball, except that, even though the volleyballs were circuited out, I received many more shots to that area. I'm surprised I'm not sterile; and finally I was hit in the back of the head with a kickball.

My friends are basically the only thing keeping me sane, and in the case of one friend, the only reason I managed to pull myself together to graduate.

For music I like: Iron Maiden, Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Zebrahead, Three Days Grace, Godsmack, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Taproot, AC/DC, Powerman 5000, and Bullet for My Valentine.

I draw a lot. Usually dinosaurs and kaiju. For an assignment in one of my art classes back in school, we had to make to make a 'scratch-pic' out of a picture. I of course used a still of Gudon from the Ultra series. Got a freaking A+!

I play a lot of video games. An even mix of FPS and Third person games. My favorite game would have to be Lost Planet 2.

I'm an arachnophobe, yet I love giant spider movies. I've also developed a personal Zombie Apocalypse plan in case one ever occurs. Some call it being paranoid, I call it being prepared.
Today, at the edge of our hope...

At the end of our time, we have chosen to believe in each other.

Today we face the monsters that are at our door.

TODAY WE ARE CANCELLING THE APOCALYPSE!

I'm Hayes (duh). I was born on October 3, 1994, in Covington, Louisiana. After spending a good deal of my life in Lake Charles, Louisiana, I now live in Mandeville, a town that's practically part of Covington. It's a nice, quiet place.

Words that describe me: huh... intelligent, witty, cynical, sarcastic, quiet, quirky, unique, (usually) reserved.

I'm a big (monster) movie person. Not big on sports or video games. I like music, but don't obsess about it. But I do go through phases of obsessions, one of which reignited my interest in Godzilla.

I have a few good friends, but I don't really feel like I truly connect with them.

I'm single and expect to stay that way unless I happen upon a girl that shares my interests.

I'm getting into writing and I've had a lifelong interest in zoology, particularly herpetology. I'd like to practice both as a career. I also like doodling. I'm okay, but not great.

Me and my inner child share my body quite happily, as I can watch a horror gore-fest one moment, then All Dogs Go to Heaven the next.

I'm just me, and I wouldn't want to any other way.

My name is Thomas R VanSlambrouck, I have two other names actually since my dad is also named Thomas my family calls me TJ and my friends call me Tuj (pronounced To-uge).

I was born in Michigan (Midland to be exact) in 1982 and lived there for about a year then we built a house in Sanford which is like 15 minutes away from Midland.

I'm smart, funny, caring even though I come off as an asshole online sometimes I'm not like that in real life. I can get along with pretty much anyone had have several friend in both real life and online.

Umm I like pretty much any type of movie as long as it has a decent story. As for music I can pretty much get into anything except country just not a big fan of that save for Johnny Cash.

I'm currently unemployeed but activly seeking employeement and I go to school where I'm currently working on my bachelors degree in Business management. In April I'll have my associates degree in management. I should have had it this year but I failed my accounting class.

For fun I like to hang out with my friends, watch movies, play video games (my biggest hobby) and listen to music. I'm trying to get into writing and photography too.

I'm currently single and not really looking for anything right now I'd rather my career straight first.

In 10 years I'd like to own my own business with my best friend, not sure what it'll be but I'll think of something.

My name is Adam W. Striker. I was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia on August 30, 1991. I currently reside in Charleston, West Virginia, and I will be attending college for the first time this Fall (God, help me).

Words that describe me: quiet, adamant, docile, reserved, and pessimistic.

I obviously love daikaiju eiga films, but I also enjoy a film from any genre. I am a huge fan of college athletics, and I support the West Virginia Mountaineers as though I were born with blue and gold colored blood. Also, I love music, especially pieces from underground scenes. My most favorite genre: METAL! Video games are another passion of mine.

I used to have a job....not anymore. :|

I can see myself writing 10 years from now. Not sure who I am writing for, or what, but I will make a decision soon enough.

My name is Michael. I was born in Burkittsville, Maryland on May 4, 1991. I lived in Burkittsville for like two years then I move to Baltimore in 1994. I've lived in Baltimore for almost four years then my Family move to Columbia, Maryland in 1997. I've lived in Columbia until 1998 then my family & I move to Ellicott City, Maryland. I've lived in Ellicott City for three years, and move to Parkville, Maryland in 2001. So far I've lived in Parkville for almost nine years. As you can I have move a lot in my life :P.

I'm smart, funny, caring even though I come off as an asshole half of the time. I'm not a bad or rude person as most people make me out of too be. I tend get along with people just fine, and I rarely get angry on the Internet.

I'm a pretty big movie person since I enjoy watching all types of movies. I tend enjoy surreal/absurd films, and I always love exploitation films as well.

I also love Video games, I have been a video gamer since I was Five or Six years when I first play Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Genesis. My favorite game ever would be Final Fantasy 7, or The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time because I grew up playing with them. And that they have great stories, amazing music, and amazing gameplay.

For music I like: Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Iced Earth, Slayer, Motorhead, Disturbed, Fear Factory, KoRn, Demon Hunter, Third Eye Blind, and many more. I'm a big Metal fan as you can tell, but I do enjoy other types of Rock music though. I hate Rap along with Country music as well.

I'm a big anime, and manga person since I enjoy all different types of anime, and manga. I'm also a big fan of American Comics from Marvel, DC, and Image. As you can tell from my username that I'm a huge Spawn fan, and almost anything else by Todd McFarlane.

Not big on sports since I find most sports boring. I don't have that many friends since I don't see any of my old friends anymore, and half of them don't live near by me. So most of the time I'm always alone, but I'm fine with it since I'm not a big social person neither.

Right now I work at movie theatre. I'm currently single and not really looking for anyone to date right now. My current goal is to become a comic book artist, and work at Image Comics.

Im Dillon Lucas Fisher

I am 17... I turn 18 on October 31st 2010. (Halloween BABY!!! )

I am an upcoming senior at my High School. Im not the MOST popular guy in school... Yet im not the dork either... Im a average student... just passing through the halls

I am currently unemployed... although i recently got an appilication for the local cinema... But i really want to get a real job involving my art.

Speaking of which i am an artist. I sketch. People tell me constantly that they are amazed by my drawings... I LOVE getting compliments on it. But i can also take critism. I don't use my art for money... yet... although i have sold a few drawings of peoples cars at car shows...

I play Guitar. I have a blue Eleca Acoustic... it was my first Guitar. My father gave it to me. I will never get rid of it. It means alot to me. My other Guitar is a black stratocaster. The last song i learned to play was "For Whom The Bell Tolls" by Metallica.

I LOVE Metallica. They are my all time favorite band. I NEVER get tired of listening to them. I like their new stuff... but not as much as their older albums. I like Metallica so much that i want "Fade to Black" Played at my funeral. no lie

I am a Godzilla fanboy... i have been since i was a toddler. My favorite G film is GMK. My favorite monster is Zilla. Kaiju are my favorite subject for my sketches. I annoy everybody i know with my random bursts of nergasms. My GF is now accepting my hobby and is now slowly becoming infected by it too...

I am dating... her name is Brittany. I met her in my Graphics class. We became loose friends and eventually i asked her out. We have been together for a long time now... And she now wears a ring on her finger that promises i will propose once we get out of school. She use to make fun of my for my love of Godzilla... But now that she has become accustom to it... she is begining to like it too... I love her with every beat of my heart. alot of people say that teen love never lasts.... but i am a very mature person and i know when i met the one... and i have...

My parents are still together... i feel i should say this because divorces seem to be popular now adays...

I have one sibling... her name is kylee... also known as Mothra111999 on TK

We have 2 pets... A dog named Winston... and a Cat named Simba...

Simba is FAT! and he has some weird obsession for peeing on our belongings if we leave them downstairs :( ... thats his territory. I dont care for him too much...

Winston... i cant say enough... He is a blue doberman... hes turning 15. We got him when he was big enough to fit in your palm... I was around 2. We grew up together... He has been my best friend for YEARS. We sleep in the same bed to this very day. He has always been protective of me. He has been through SO GOD DAMN MUCH! He has been stabbed with a 4 inch stick... he ate a horshoe crab, shell and all, He even ate an ENTIRE box of alcoholic chocolates, we had to make him puke lol, but he stayed strong... he always got right back up... But recently he has been showing signs of getting older... he has OCD where he licks his legs until the bleed... and just recently... we found out that he has cancer and his kidneys are failing... We are debating if we should put him down or just let him live his life... I will be seriously heartbroken for the rest of my life when he goes...

Well... thats my life in a nutshell... i dont wanna bore you any more...
Don't try to be something else. Don't try to be less. Great things are going to happen in your life. Great things. And with that will come great responsibility.

I'm Brittany and I'm 18 (March 24th 1992) and I live on Long Island in NY.

art is kind of my thing. I would consider myself a decent artist and I'm always doodling or drawing. it's just something I've been doing ever since I can remember and I just enjoy it. you can see some of my art in the link in my sig, which is the deviantart account I've just set up. I don't only draw kaiju, but that's all I've got uploaded at the moment.

I don't like getting dressed up much. I usually just wear a t-shirt and skinny jeans with flip-flops or converse, but I do like jewelry and I like wearing all sorts of necklaces, bracelets, and silly bandz. that's not to say that I don't care how I look though, because I do. I try to look nice and put-together, just not fancy.

I have an aversion to exercise, but luckily I'm naturally thin. I mean, I don't mind physical exertion, I just don't like going on treadmills, lifting weights, etc. I get bored really easily. I try to do things like take walks and do things that are good for me but where I don't get bored, but I get tired from running around all day at my job so lately I haven't been getting as much exercise in as I should. although I'm pretty decent looking and I'm a pretty confident person, I do worry a little bit about my weight from time to time since the chubs run in my family, lol. I seem to have gotten the thinner genes but I still worry sometimes.

I have Lupus. it's not terrible, but I'm always tired and I'm prone to rashes and kidney infections. I also can't go out in the sun for more than like half an hour without a bunch of sunscreen (although I usually ignore this) and I'm not supposed to eat dairy (ignore that, too).

I work as a page in a library. boo. it's boring but it pays okay for what it is.

I have the greatest boyfriend anyone could ever ask for. we've been together for almost 2 years now and things are still great. he's the sweetest guy ever, and not only does he tolerate my kaiju love, he's into it now and watches the movies with me and even surprises me with kaiju toys. can't really say anything else about him other than he's probably the best thing to ever happen to me.

my goals for right now are to make it through college and get a place with my boyfriend. we may actually be moving in together a year from now, which would be amazing. I'm starting college soon to get my associate's degree in Visual Arts and then I want to go on to a four year school for art and maybe become an art teacher or something like that - haven't decided. also, I want to take a road trip to G-Fest this coming summer.

this ended up longer than I planned. sowwy.

Re: About you

Postby vaporchu » Tue Aug 03, 2010 8:09 pm

Okay, I'll play along.

I'm Brandon D. Born in(and still currently residing in) Virginia during April of 1994.

Words that describe me: Brilliant, LAZY, imaginative(is that even a word?) but unskilled, and insecure.

I used to want to be a paleontologist, but as of recently computer graphics has become my forte. This stems from my love of computers and Nintendo. I'm not too particarly talented, but I do sprite a lot and can make Photoshops. Also, if you read Brawl in the Family, you may know about BitF Mash Ups. I love to make Mash Ups, and working on them is really helping me hone my skills.

Anyways, I'm not a sports guy. I used to play Baseball and I currently bowl in the local Youth League. I'm not that great at bowling(my average hovers around 110-120), but it passes the time and is in general rather enjoyable.

When it comes to music, I don't tend to go out and look for songs. If I happen upon a song I like, then I'll listen to it a lot. For the most part, I listen to video game music, catchy anime songs, and some of Weird Al's work. I would love to be able to compose my own music some day, but I'm not musically inclined. The most experiance I have is playing the recorder in the 4th Grade and playing around with midi files on my computer.

Like I said above, I love Nintendo games. For as long as I can remember, I have been near a Nintendo system. I can recall vague memories of playing that Mario/Duck Hunt/Soccer game combo on our NES(which we still had for some reason). But the most important thing regarding games is probably Pokemon... Seriously. Pokemon has pretty much shaped my life up to this point. It's helped me make most of my early friends, fueled my interest in art, music, and computers, introduced me to the internet....basically, without it, I probably wouldn't be the same person I am today. Kinda cheesy, but it's true.

Going back to games in general, my other favorites are the Kirby and Super Smash Bros. games. Kirby I adore for its simplistic design yet at the same time being a suprisingly deep platformer(even if they are very easy games), while the same goes for Smash Bros.(replace platformer with fighter though). I should say that these two have also increased my interests in art and music, respectively.

Next year, I shall be taking a programing class(IIRC its C++) and Japanese 3(although I can only read the characters, most words and sentences I don't really understand without a dictionary at my side). I hope that in my Senior year I can take a class in a Tech center to help develop my 3D modeling skills(which are, at this point, mostly non-existent). As I said, I'm brilliant but lazy. I take almost all honors(possibly except for English, although I may have changed that), yet I only get through because I'm very knowledgeble, not because I do my homework.

If you haven't guessed by my stated interests and goals(good at pixel art and computer graphics in general, will learn about 3D modeling, going to take a programming class, learning Japanese, and having an interest in music), I want to design my own video game someday. I would LOVE to have the chance to develop for Nintendo. And if I got the chance to work on a Kirby game...well, I could be dead and in heaven for all I care.

I live with my parents and two older siblings....as well as several pets. We have 6 cats(and feed 2 strays that basically live on our front porch), 2 dogs, 2 parrots(technically my Aunt's...but we've been taking care of them for years now), a Guinea Pig, and 3 turtles. Of these, I own 2 cats and one of the dogs.

That's probably waaaaaaay longer than it needed to be, and knowing me I'll regret posting this tomorrow, but whatever.

It's not that, it's just that interest sharing is a really bad way of finding a partner, I should know.

It's not that, it's just that interest sharing is a really bad way of finding a partner, I should know.

Opposites attract. It's true. It's just not positive and negative charges that follow that rule.

If you share too many interests, you'll find each other boring. That will lead to the ending of a relationship. You want someone that doesnt share your interest or shares a few. But not all.

Actually, social psychology studies shown that people who share interests have stronger relationships than those who have more opposite personalities. Birds on a feather fly together.

This might take you a lifetime.

I know.... hopefully I can at least find someone with one of my major interests. Gotta have something to talk about, right?

This is where we differ. I love to have another me around! It'd be great- a duo of Hayes...'s.
