The Official Image Comics discussion thread

Postby mecha-gino » Sun Jul 25, 2010 3:32 pm

Discuss one of the biggest Indy comics company out there.

Now I've recently learned that Pitt is making a comeback now, as a top cow character and I'm happy for that. I heard there's a sort of supermen team up involving Supreme, Omni-man, and Dynamic man in dynamic 5 or whatever the title is and I'm excited.

And finally is anyone else wondering when image united 3 is coming out?

I thought Image United was awful, I feel like that their was no really build up in the story. The whole Omega Spawn conpect was awful too.

Care to explain why it's " awful" and you really can't judge the event like that because it's not even finished! >:D

I really did not like the whole set up that the story had. A big crossover with all of Image Comics superheros together would be something amazing like SW was for Marvel, or IC was for DC. The placing of the story feels out of place, Omega Spawn was just lame since it feel like he cameout of nowhere, and some of the artwork was pretty bad.

I doubt we will see Issue #3 due the massive delays it has been getting. I don't think will care anymore.

You do know that all can be explained in issue three and it's kind of unfair to nitpick an unfinished series.

And the art wasn't that bad, I mean you can rant and rave about rob liefeld's art but it's not that bad.

I doubt it will be finish. I have not read any of the Spawn comics in while since I was very disappointed with "Spawn: Endgame". You would think with Todd's return to Spawn that would be awesome like the good old days from the 90's, and early 2000's. I don't like the whole idea of a new Hellspawn as the lead role, and comics don't feel the same without Al as Spawn.

Bumped so you guys can go and talk who you think is the top image comics character.

Me, it's invincible but I would lol if the youngblood movie gets made and they actually get popular. Also anyone else notice rob reused his idea for a female deadpool and that one red wolverine look alike?

I have not read Invincilble since Issue #64, and I hope Spawn #200 will be worth the wait. I really don't like the whole stroy line for Endgame at all, and I was very dissppointed with it since I was very hype up for it with Todd back with Spawn. I enjoy David Hine comic run a lot IMO.

As for Youngblood, I can get into the Youngblood comics and the only thing I like about the Youngblood comics was Shadow Hawk. A cartoon series for Youngblood was plan to be release on Foxkids at one point.

I hear that Image United 3 that the original Shadowhawk who died in the early Young Blood comes back as some type of Zombie. Is "Haunt" worth checking out?

I hear the first review is decent, but it gets much better later on. I don't think they release a paperback collection yet.

yeah, the one series you keep on telling me to read and... I'm actually going to soon, as I heard in a recent issue Supreme, Omni-man, and... Captain Dynamo I believe are all playing a big part in an issue and that's 3 of Image's Supermen right there... Out of 11 I think. Lol

Besides Shadowhawk, should I check out wildcats at all?

I tell you to read it a series, it takes you 8 months so I stopped recommending them to you. -_-

EDIT:
WildCATS - the first series ONLY because it establishes characters. Series 2 and higher are WORLDS better. Especially Series 2 when Spartan takes over.

Well... I finally read an issue of Dynamo five(issue one to be exact) and so far so good. When I can find more of it, I'll read more. And now I got wildcats to read. :3

Now when you mean first series are you referring to vol 1 or when they became Part of wildstorm?

Anyone read the new Sam & Twitch comic yet? And looks like Todd wants to give them their own TV mini series too.

And Gaiman now has won the rights to Medieval Spawn and others.... And Erik Larsen is butthurt(sadly) stating the jury consisted of woman only and they fell in love with his looks and British accent. Damn dem Brits! :P

I can't believe the right issues with Gaiman is still going on. I thought the whole right issues with him & Todd ended years ago.

Anywho, I have been reading Haunt, so far it's great. It has that dark classic superhero feel to it, and I can't wait to get more issues of it soon.
