If he had done that instead, maybe Yoda could have been spared the embarrassment of being downgraded from a beloved cinematic mentor figure to a wacky cartoon character.

I laughed because of how awesome it was. You know how sometimes that just happens? You can't really believe it but it's happening before your very eyes? I didn't think it was that bad. That's the reason why he was CG in that movie!

And Yoda vs. the Emperor > Obi-Wan vs. Anakin.

Exactly.

Despite Yoda being my favorite character even during the original trilogy, he really doesn't *do* much besides the X-Wing scene. Most of what's important is what he says.

I don't see why fanservice is such a bad thing all the time - besides, wouldn't making Han shoot first again be fanservice in itself? It's a miniscule detail that only changes Han's characterization in a subtle way that's really not important unless you're a pretty devoted Star Wars fan, which most people who bitch about it are not. I never noticed the change as a kid, until it was pointed out to me.

Never hated the prequels, only the fact that Anakin has never been a good guy like the first trilogy intended to show, but a whining and selfish dick.

That's one thing that makes the Clone Wars oddly effective. Anakin's a hero, and Obiwan are actually friends. It actually makes ROTS a more effective movie.

If you think about it the most evil guy in the galaxy (besides the Emperor) would start out as an emo little bitch. That's how Palpatine got control of him!

About Anakin - they tried to jam alot of character into a small amount of time with a horrible actor.

About Yoda - honestly makes sense with his Force and Lightsaber skills, but all the flipping around was a bit much .. I remember when Yoda first scooted onto the screen during the AOTC movie. Everyone in the theatre was like "OH SHI- !". I was like "This is new....wait, WTF?!"

Yoda being badass with the saber drives home his "judge me by me size do you?" point.

Slightly random comment, but wasn't it great in ROTS when Yoda took out all those clone troopers? I love the scene where he impales one and then scurries up his falling body to pull his weapon out. I sound like a raving fan boy, but damn that was so much fun.

I like how Anakin and Obi Wan could toss Droids across rooms.

I like how Starkiller can bring down Star Destroyers.

I like how Darth Vader can get tossed through walls.

I find it ironic how Luke has to grimace like he's about to drop the biggest deuce of his life to pull his saber from the frozen ice and HE saves the universe from The Sith.

Technically, it was Vader who saved the universe. After all, it was he who killed Sidious.

But without Luke refusing to give up on Vader, he turned Vader back to the light!

? Saved the universe?

First off, Star Wars doesn't leave the galaxy. Second, the Sith are far from defeated. There are tons of them. All over. There are two more Galactic Empires after RotJ. Palpatine is even the one who is basically responsible for saving the galaxy. Without the militarization of the Empire, the galaxy would have fallen to the Yuzan Vong even faster than they almost did.
