FMs: Limit the number of combatants

Postby wataru » Wed Dec 08, 2010 5:20 am

Vote.

Yes - A controlled number of combatants.
No - Free for all lame, boring, uninteresting nonsense

I say the max. should be 4. Exemptions would be Legion Swarm or Megagurius Swam but honestly, anything more then 4 is just stupid..

NO MIDDLE GROUND!!!

I voted no, because 4 isn't enough sometimes. Some people want to use 3 on 3s, 4 on 4s, 5 on 5s, or even pit armies against each other. Besides, Arbok specifically got rid of this rule so it's not coming back.

I voted yes because I do believe that there should be a limit to how many fighters there are but I think that 4 is too small to be the maximum. I think either 6 or 8 would be good for normal matches while having something like 10 or 12 be fine for tournaments. That way there could be a decent amount of fighters but there won't be too many. Plus, we also have to consider the fact that there will mostly likely be tournaments in the future and I doubt everybody would want to do 2 on 2s or 1 on 1s all the time.

More then four dissolves into incoherency. You create variable-upon-variable-upon-variable to the point where discussion is effectively impossible or just silly.

i love how everytime someone makes a poll about the FMs. AH is against it from the start... he just wants them to be his way.

I agree that there should be a cap, but I'd set it at 5 or 6. Any more than that and the match just becomes way too chaotic to call.

From the Fantasy Match topic:

Stuckey wrote:As of December 8, 2010, it has been decided by the Moderators of Toho Kingdom to temporarily limit the number of combatants allowed in Fantasy Matches.

For Free-For-All matches the maximum number of combatants allowed is 5.
For Team matches the maximum number of combatants will be 4 vs. 4.

Once I get home from work I will tweak the rules for team battles just a bit to clear up any confusion the rule may cause.

I'd have to agree to this. Four is a bit short. I've seen a few larger matches than that not disintegrate.

But there does need to be a cap, like TV says. Too many and it's just too many variables.

No. Wiki is useless.

So I'm against the idea of using only TK endorsed stats.

no no no, that was just a list.

Like what sites should stats be allowed from?
TK Main Site?
Monster Archives?
Wiki sources? (isnt there a Godzilla Wiki?)

If you cant find sites - should YouTube videos be allowed to demonstrate?

If you were the #2 voter for NOT limited the number, youre too late. It's been done already.

Did you read the DAM vs GFW thread? It's like 20 combatants. It's pure anarchy.
