I think just 2 are just needed, Godzilla and Opponent

Eh, I wouldn't mind a total of three. Godzilla, a cannonfodder monster, and the main opponent. Definitely no more than that, though.

I agree. I think the cannonfodder foe should show up first, wipe out the military, and then be wiped out himself by Godzilla. And then bring in the tougher monster for a real fight.

I kind think three or four. Depends on the roles they play truthfully and the movies plot. It worked well for GMK with four but Final Wars wasn't written well enough for as many monsters as it ended up with.

If Monster Island is in the movie then I would like to see small monsters like The Giant Condor, Kamacuras, Kumonga, and Meganulon that exist on the Island. The only monsters I care about the most is Godzilla, and the main villain which might be KG, or anyone down to Earth.

I'm pretty convinced making a balanced and coherent plot with any more then 4 monsters is technically impossible.

Three at the most.

I say Godzilla and one enemy monster, but if they can work in another I'd be fine with that.

*I* want a solo-show. However, since I'm not going to get that...

Two, perhaps with a cannon fodder monster or Storm Trooper horde (IE, "mini" Kamacuras swarming [like in the one Cerasini novel]).

I suppose it all depends on how the monsters will be used in the story.

Are the monsters just plot devices? If so, then I don't imagine one would have to devote a lot of time to them and you could probably have more than two.
Are the monsters entities within the story that require actual focus? Then it probably wouldn't help the story if the movie were crammed with them.

I'd say three - Godzilla as a character (please), a plot device/cannon fodder monster, and an opponent who can go either way - would work just fine.

3 or 4.
1-godzilla
2-monster easily killed by godzilla
3-main villian(kg, rodan, angy, etc)
4- a quick glimpse of a bigger more powerful monster for the sequel.(they dont even need to show it just hear its iconic roar or something of that nature.)

p.s. i would actually be perfectly fine with only 2 monster godzilla and his opponent, or just godzilla. as long as the movie is done well im ok with any amount.

Cause some of us actually wanna see the movie instead of just being told what happens. Oh and plus I'm pretty sure Chris is held accountable for any leaked info so if he downright told you whats gonna happen he would be in big trouble and probably would never be allowed any more inside scoops to any more future film or game projects ever again.

Jesus, I shouldn't have to say this, it should be common sense.

I love how you blindly say that everybody will be happy with that, only to make fights that will only end in pissing people off

Seriously, a snowball has a better chance of surviving in hell, than do SpaceG and Des have a chance of appearing in the movie.

I think NSZ avatar summs things up with your post. Destroyah and SpaceGodzilla are never going to be in this movie, you are living in a fantasy world.

Godzilla couldnt even take down Space Godzilla without Moguera's help and Godzilla never defeated Destroyah, so pretty much this is mainly based on what you want to see morely than the fact of pleasing "Everyone". Which is impossible to do.

All it would do for the film is make it friggin confusing for both Godzilla and Non Godzilla fans, I mean this would be worst than Spiderman 3 honestly.

that AND your pitting Godzilla against his strongest foes. start off with an easier one and we'll be happy. not using SpaceGodzilla or Destroyah. either one of them for a 2nd or 3rd film.
