a question for arbok

Postby miguelnuva » Mon Nov 15, 2010 11:55 pm

SO I noticed that meltdown godzilla only has the spiral ray listed on his bio so did he use that ray the whole movie.

Yes he only had that beam. I think a better question is why isn't the energy touch on Meltdown Godzilla's bio? I know we've only seen normal Godzilla use it and even then rarely and Meltdown has burning skin but one can assume he can still use it.

The bios only list what was shown or stated they could do. Godzilla's energy touch isn't really mentioned in books at all, for any version. For all we know, he may have lost the power when his body started to get closer to meltdown.

So, since he didn't display it during the movie, we don't include it in the bio.

Crap. I hope adding the energy touch won't effect one of my KWC matches. -_-

Godzilla's "slap zap" attack. Blink and you'll miss it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DF1vYgbVlgc#t=3m10s

He also used it on the shock anchors the first time he fought Heisei MG, Battra used it a few times but it seems SpaceGodzilla is the only one everyone remembers, probably because he used it almost all the damn time anyone got to close.

Anyways maybe Burning Godzilla still had it but didn't use it, Heisei V1 Godzilla had a nuclear pulse but never used it until Biollante, or he lost it. I guess it really depends on the writer if they want him to have it or lost it in their fan fic.

To me it looked like stuff they added after the fact because the suits couldn't do much.

To me it looked like energy sparks from the base of the crystals.

Except it was coming from Godzilla and it was blue. When SpaceGodzilla does it the sparks are red.

I agree with Arbok here. If you don't see it, then he didn't do it.

Oh come on. That's not a power. That's just Kawakita whacking off via optical effects.

And this is actually listed as a power on his character bio. Wow. Really?

I don't care how many monsters have it. To me it's always just looked like pointless flashy special effects added to make the battles look more flashy. And if it's a real, Toho endorsed power it's not one you'll ever see me take seriously.

Its not pointless, its stylistic. The new Ultra series does it too on occasion.

And its probably an official power that Toho coined for the same reason they created Regen. Though unlike zap slaps, Regen is an awesome power.

Regen may be stupid but it's not as pointless as that "zap slap" crap. The fact is these fatass monster suits could barely do any physical fighting, so the electrical opticals were added to make the fights look more exciting.

It failed.
