Smallville might get its own movie anyways. I don't want this movie to be a origin story since we know how Clark became Superman for the past million time already.

Honestly - a Superboy film would be better. No Kon-El but like Superboy in Smallville.

And so, my ignorance of the superman franchise has created ridiculous speculations... lol.

Oh... btw. I find Superman boring as hell... but Smallville is boring as hell x10.

I was never a big Superman fan, but I do like the character along with the comics, movies, and the TV series. My favorite DC superhero would be The Specter or The Flash (Wally West) though.

Thanks for the bump since a lot of new info has been released since that the last time a person post in this thread.

The Casting Search For Superman Begin last week, and the actor who played as Ozzy in Watchmen might play as Superman. Anne Hathaway is being rumored for the role of Lois Lane as well.

Superman Returns was okay. I think of it as a tribute to Christopher Reeve. But, I think that type of Superman has run its course.
Its time for Superman to get some balls! Like in the newer cartoons and old comics. They actually need to bring some of the comic & cartoon ideas to the big screen.

Thanks for the bump. It looks like Henry Cavill (Stardust, Red Riding Hood) will play as Superman in the new movie.

The problem with Superman is that the physical build he has in the comics is basically impossible to find. It's a shame because it's pretty much the only Superhero it applies to (Captain Marvel and Powergirl aswell, I suppose).

I've never really believed any of the actors who played Superman. To lanky, not barrel chested enough, etc.

I'm staying optimistic, but I'm not all that blown away by this casting choice.

I'm not sure I like this choice for "The Man Of Steel".
He seems to be a better fit for " The Adventures of SuperBoy ".

Who knows how he will pull it off. I don't want Lex as the main villain again since he has been used enough. I know he is Superman's most famous foe but we don't see The Joker in every Batman movie, do we not?
