You can actually play as either Godzilla or G-Force. There are four levels to choose from, along with a secret one (which kind of sucks, but is so hard to unlock that very few will get to play it anyway). The four levels can be played in any order.
The first level is from
Godzilla vs. Gigan, and you can play as Godzilla and Anguirus or the SDF. This is the hardest stage for the SDF. The objective is to beat King Ghidorah and Gigan.
The second is based on
Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (but a ton of other things show up), and you can play as Godzilla or as Super-X, Super-X2, Mothra, Mecha-King Ghidorah and the SDF. As one might guess, this is the hardest stage for Godzilla.
Third is based on
Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, and you can play as Godzilla and Rodan or as Mechagodzilla, Garuda and the SDF.
Fourth is based on
Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, and you can play as either Godzilla or Moguera and the SDF. The objective is to beat SpaceGodzilla.
The game is a turn based strategy one, but unlike the NES Godzilla 2 the battle are like those found in a fighting game. Controls are simple, so nothing complex, but it does add some variety.
Overall, this is one of the few Godzilla games I would recommend. Its quite fun.
If it bites... don't mess with it!
