Well, okay. There clearly were two Godzillasauruses, you're right. But it's all got nothing to do with GMK. Totally separate continuity. The first one's location was never really known for sure, but it got mutated by Bikini Atoll bomb tests and attacked in 1954. It was destroyed on a molecular level by the Oxygen Destroyer. It's dead. The second Godzilla was moved off Lagos in 1944, before the first Godzilla's creation, and put in the Bering Sea. It slept/stayed there until 1977, when a Russian nuclear submarine sank (was destroyed?) and mutated it into a second (Heisei) Godzilla. This one laid dormant until the volcanic eruption on Daikoku Island in 1984, which woke it up, prompting it to appear in Japan. It was then imprisoned in Mt. Mihara. It was released by BioMajor's bombs in 1989, when it fought Biollante. It then became sick with the ANB infection and laid dormant in its (probably) perceived homeland, the Bering Sea. The Teiyo Group's submarine made it bigger and stronger, and the rest is history. King Ghidorah, on the other hand, was left on Lagos in the form of the three Dorats, which were mutated during an H-bomb test into King Ghidorah. After its defeat by Godzilla, it lay comatose in the Sea of Okhotsk until Emi came in the 23rd century and resurrected it as the cyborg Mecha King Ghidorah. Hope that explains it
