What original monsters would you make for the franchise?

What original monsters would you make for the franchise?

Post by gzilla46 »

You all know classic monsters from the Godzilla franchise. King Ghidorah, Mothra, Biollante, Rodan all those guys. But, what if you had the chance to make your own original monster for the Godzilla franchise? What animal would he be based off of if any? What powers would he have? Come up with some creative ideas here:

I have a few. Here are mine:

GigaShark
Image
The Godzilla franchise has NEVER had a monster based off a shark. I think that'd be interesting to see Godzilla fight a shark bigger than a Megalodon. Here are some of his powers:

The Ability to Walk on land with its fins and breathe both air and water
Can swim at supersonic speeds
Powerful jaws that can break bones that are strong as even Godzilla's.
He can fly

Nessie
Image
The Loch Ness Monster isn't really a Godzilla monster, but he could be one. They'd have to make him much larger obviously. Here are some of HIS powers.

Can swim at Supersonic speeds
Powerful tail
Can breathe plasma

Scare Bear
Image
This creature is a giant bear that guards the forest near Mt. Fuji. However, due to human interference and destruction of lots of forestland, humans have unleashed ScareBear's wrath.

Powers:
Can cause earthquakes if he stomps hard enough
Venomous fangs
Razor Sharp Claws that can break through even the strongest hides
Regeneration

Those are some of mine. Show me some of your ideas.

How's this redundant? Why would you NOT want to be able to share your ideas for original Godzilla monsters?

I can totally imagine a bear guarding a Japanese forest being called ScareBear.

As hilarious as this has been, I'll take pity on you, gzilla. It's not a bad thread concept, but... ScareBear. A giant, mystical guardian-bear is actually a pretty cool idea, but you need to rethink the name.

I also like the idea of a shark kaiju. Mine would be more toned-down, though. Pretty much just an oversized shark with razor-sharp fins. And maybe a few extra sets of fins, just to help it stand out a little.

Another one I came up with a while back is a giant centipede with electrical powers of unknown origin. Abilities:

- Can channel powerful bursts of electricity through its jaws, either by biting or by firing short-range bolts from each mandible.

- Can also channel electricity through its antennea, which are long and durable enough to be used like whips.

- The tips of its legs are sharp enough to be used like daggers. A favorite tactic is to coil its body around an enemy and jab at them with as many legs as possible. Legs are somewhat brittle, though, and a strong enemy can rip them off if it gets a good grip.

- Exoskeleton is resistant to energy weapons, though can be crushed or punctured rather easily. This is made up for by a powerful healing factor, enough to regrow lost limbs within a few hours.
