I kind of see why the new film is coming out in 2012.... It's the 25th anniversary of the show.

mecha-gino wrote:Yeah, and I hope to *insert religious denity* that they don't cancelled because of Viacom because that would blow so so SO very much. But... There's something you forgot to mention... They should have the two missing tv-movies, the turtle planet one! As I heard that's quite a big event in the series, and it should be part of the final sets or a stand alone DVD itself.
But what quite sucks for fans of the newer series is that... It's quite screwy getting the series on dvd, as they decided ti release a few episodes on DVD at a time, and then one company did the smart thing and did seasons one part one and two plus season two part one and two... But I think S2P2 never got released and they lost the license. D:

The DVD being sold on the 24th is the edited version and in fullscreen. I believe the uncut version was streaming on 4Kids' website. Might still be there, in fact. I haven't heard anything about a widescreen, uneditied version myself. As far as I know, there isn't even much in the way of special features. Not even the cover art is any good.
Long story short: this is the complete definition of a barebones release.

Infact the comics are waaaay more dark then the 03 show, as I recalled many innocent people were killed after a feud with the foot clan. I really need to read the mirage comics.
