Mine is King of the Monsters. When I push the button it's a long, bird-like screech. Is the Godzilla Wars figure the other roar?

Re: Official Trendmasters Thread 2.0
I dug out the TM boxes. Both my Sound-making Ghidorahs had the King of the Monsters packaging. Now I'm really confused.
Why is my Ghidorah posessed?!?!
Also, the noises mine make aren't long. Rather, the roars are very short. How many roars does yours make upon the push of the button? Two? Three?

I still collect them! They really arent bad figures like some collectors make them out to be. They are just a unique style and taste. Just like every toy line.UltramanGoji wrote:X, you're making me want to collect Trendmasters again.

Well I try! They're not bad figures, so if you're thinking about it, go for it!UltramanGoji wrote:X, you're making me want to collect Trendmasters again.
Exactly what I'm saying. They're kids toys and they're stylized like Bullmark or Marusan figures. Why people hate on them I'll never know. I like most of the redesigns. Megalon, Anguirus, and Varan look good, pretty much what they'd look like if they were in the Heisei series.gatorzilla wrote:I still collect them! Re: Official Trendmasters Thread 2.0
My Ghidorah makes one roar. Perhaps it was an early release? It could also go the same with the 10" figures.
As a child I had the regular 10" Godzilla from the KotM line.
-It came with a black and white comic.
-The roar was the classic roar, which I think went three times or so.
-The head was a hard plastic and difficult to turn.
-The tail was a very soft rubber and easily popped out.
I later got a second one because my old one was going to fall apart if I kept using it. I noticed MANY differences.
-This one came with a color comic.
-The roar was the same but slower and longer, more like the 80s roar.
-The head was softer and almost flexible.
-The tail was hard rubber, almost like plastic, and once I got it in there it stayed.
What's the deal, Trendmasters?

I have the Godzilla: Wars 10" Godzilla. It sounds close to the first one you described. Only because it was the Wars version, it had no comic.
I remember eading somewhere that there are 2 comics, one in B&W and the other in color, like you said. Maybe they improved and repackaged the figures? I'm confused by all this.

Re: Official Trendmasters Thread 2.0
I feel like the black and white comic came after the color one, probably to save money. Maybe the same goes for the material the figures were made of so they were better quality? I guess my first one was a later release, but I wouldn't be surprised. I still have it and it's been through more adventures than I can remember.

Re: Official Trendmasters Thread 2.0
Oh good I'll consider to buy them then since this seller has plenty available. I'll try and get them both. Varan will be the last one to get and a big challenge at that. Your pics with the comparisons help but if I see American ones for a good price besides the two links I showed then I'll get them but these two will go on my watch listMr. X wrote:Yep, as UltramanGoji said, they're legite. I've bought the Doom Island Godzilla, Supercharged Godzilla, Spacegodzilla, Varan, Baragon, and Megalon from the guy when he first listed them months ago. They're okay to buy.

And so I don't derail the topic any further, here's my main TM figures:
I have all the 6" figures with sound! ...Except for Supercharged Godzilla. Still trying to find one for under $20.

It appears to be legite. Look at his store, he's selling a GINO prototype figure.
Why have I never heard of this before? What is it?!

So I see the Megalon from the Godzilla Wars on eBay, but the packaging says Spacegodzilla... is that normal, or are they trying to bamboozle me?

I'm guessing $80 plus $30 shipping for it is a bit pricey even for megalon.

Yikes, I'd never bring myself to pay that much, knowing that it was once only $9.99. I paid $19.99 for mine, and even tht's a bit much, IMO. But I'm cheap, so...SteveRGR wrote:I'm guessing $80 plus $30 shipping for it is a bit pricey even for megalon.

And that's me. One of my goals as a collector is to get a hold of one of those Kumongas (on the left). He's got 6 of 'em! I mean does he really need all of those? Surely he won't miss one...Legion1979 wrote:What's up with so many multiples of the same figures?
