The 1998 TriStar film. Good monster movie, atrocious Godzilla movie. Zilla just can't fill the shoes of the King of the Monsters.

Godzilla's Revenge. Vast overreliance on stock footage, and I personally can't stand these types of "moral lessons" hidden inside monster films. I thought that's what the HB Godzilla was for.

GODZILLA and BTFE are also up there on the list.

G98 on the grounds that it isn't even a proper Godzilla film. >_>

I've always had and always will have an unnatural dislike for Godzilla's Revenge. Its hard to explain why.

I might get a lot of objections, but I think that Destroy All Monsters was dreadful. I can never sit through it all without nearly falling asleep, and the battle in the climax isn't worth the wait, I think.

Frankly, I don't much care for GRA. I mean, it does introduce two cool things into the series (Angilas and monster battles), but it gets smothered in human drama that ends up a pale imitation of the original (I guess that's what happens when you tell people to "Make another one"). And frankly, the English dub should have ended up on MST3K.

It might be Godzilla vs Mothra. Despite the fact that Battra is pretty cool, everything else about the film is just dreadful. Dreadful beyond belief. Every single one of the characters is freaking annoying and a freaking idiot. They basically took the Mothra vs Gigamoth story and slapped Godzilla in the middle. That's super-lazy, and one of the reasons the film is awkward. Godzilla doesn't really seem to matter until all of a sudden he's a threat. Even the score is pretty bland. The new theme for Battra is pretty much the only new music, and it's ok, but the rest is just really uninspired ports of the old Mothra music. And to top it off, Mothra just has to go into space and create Spacegodzilla. What a bitch. The film is just terrible. So bad.

Godzilla's Revenge since the movie was dreadful to watch. The movie was a waste of money since their was no reason to teach kids about bullying by making a Godzilla movie about it. The movie could have been another movie with Godzilla fighting someone new, but they choose to make a movie with a good amount of stock footage instend.

They didn't choose to do anything. It amazes me how many people think there's something wrong with a Godzilla movie that's purely 100% made for kids, as if fans were entitled to something better in 1969. It's not a great movie, but IMHO it's a hell of a lot more fun than VS Mothra, Space Godzilla and G2K.

The American Godzilla is the worst, no question. But as the Japanese films are concerned it's Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla.

It seems so far I'm the only one to cast my vote for Godzilla vs. Megalon. For me, that was when there was no more point in continuing the showa seires. I see it as nothing more than plot line that had been reused to death, and where Godzilla's appearance represented nothing more than a way to defeat the monster.

Just to comment on All monsters Attack, I feel the stock footage alone isn't enough to categorize it as the worst film. That's actually one of the things I liked about it. It made it the one movie where at least I could watch a couple of my favorite monster battles.

As for the American Godzilla, sure it was possibly the worst character incarnation of Godzilla, but in terms of plot there have been far worst.

I voted for other. I think Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla is the worst Godzilla movie out there. I didn't pick Godzilla (1998) because it's pretty much not considered a true Godzilla movie, at least by fans. But it is terrible overall.

Personally, I think GFW is the worst Godzilla movie of all. At least G98 had the decency to have Godzilla attack a city like he usually does, and they even had that opening scene that obviously mirrored what happened in Gojira. They even had a funny bit about the mispronunciation of Godzilla's name, when the reporter called him Godzilla instead of Gojira. If Gino looked like Godzilla, it wouldnt have been so bad, IMO.

GFW is a complete joke. It's barely even about Godzilla. If you look at the original Gojira and then at GFW, it's an absolute insult. I have no doubt that if Tsuburaya, Honda, and Tanaka saw what GFW made Godzilla into, they would be downright ashamed.

Its Spacegodzilla for me. I used to think that I was alone on that one but i'm glad to see that i'm not. I mean, I don't hate it(I don't hate any Godzilla movie honestly) its just I haven't really had a desire to watch it since I was like 14 or something. IDK, maybe if I watched now I could warm up to it.

For me, it's a toss up between Godzilla vs. Hedorah, Godzilla's Revenge and Godzilla Raids Again.

Godzilla's Revenge is a great little peice of Meta-fiction. I happen to really enjoy it, the only reason it's here is because it's a kids film in a family friendly franchise. What a terrible notion.

Godzilla Vs Megalon was slapped together for the Champions Festival, as I recall and more of a vehicle for Jet Jaguar, considering that, I don't give it much flak. That would be like bashing Ultraman because it's not as good as Mothra Vs. Godzilla.

Tristar's Godzilla fillm is lame. not great or bad. Just lame.

Final Wars is an approriate, albiet poorly executed 50th Anniversary celebration.

Godzilla Vs Spacegodzilla sucks. Bad score, dumb plot, dumb villian, spotty special effects and it was passed off as a genuine entry into the franchise (which Godzilla Vs Megalon arguably didn't). Typical, cookie-cutter/factory line approach that the Heisei series adopted and plagued most of the Millenium series. People give Minya flak for talking, but Little Godzilla can burp glowing bubbles? Wut? Makes no sense.
