Trendmasters cards and comics

Postby kaijukurt » Wed Sep 22, 2010 4:31 am

It's a well-known fact that trendmasters produced several collectible cards and also published a short comic book to go with some of their action figures. I really liked the biographies and info on the back of the cards. Does anyone here know what the biographies/stats say on the backs of the Anguirus, battra, and Moguera cards? The info is not in clubtokyo or anywhere else, for that matter. And does anyone here also have a copy of the trendmasters godzilla comics? This is the only proof I can find of their existence.http://www.tohokingdom.com/comics/godzilla_trendmasters.htm.

Yea I have that comic. It is black and white with only a few pages inside of it. Not like a full scale comic book or anything.
Within Temptation, Flaw, The Panic Division, Tool, Lacuna Coil, Breaking Benjamin, Red, Lunatica, Katatonia, A Perfect Circle, Evanescence, Bush, Silverchair ('94-'01), Goo Goo Dolls, Linkin Park, Metallica, Delain, Leaves' Eyes, etc.

I remember I had a good amount of Trendmasters cards when I younger. I love the nostalgia that the Trendmasters toys and cards have.

I'll take requests for anyone for the cards so far the cards I have are the figures shown in the collection page. I have all except for Angilas. I am getting two more that I don't have on the way from ebay sometime soon since I'm watching them. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=156 Don't expect Varan, Baragon or Megalon anytime soon they're very hard to find for me. I do have one comic that came with my Big G.

The early printed versions were in full color. My large scale Mechagodzilla came with the colored version of the comic, but every large figure I bought after that came with the B&W version. Can't say I really blame Trendmasters, it would been expensive to keep printing them in color.

I have all of the cards (I think) and multiples of several. What hideous artwork. They'll probably end up on ebay very soon for people to enjoy crap to bid on them. :P

I had no idea there was a version besides the color one. Can you provide any more details about the later black and white release? Was it the same otherwise?

Now I am completely opposite of Arbok. I had no idea that there was ever a color version of the comic produced. I bought all the 10" inch figures brand new and every one of them that had comics were all the black and white versions only. :? Weird.

Wow! thank you very much! Does the card also mention height and mass stats?

I will do some digging Arbok. Truth be told, I'm not 100% sure where they are at the moment, but I know at least the colorized one is in a safe place. Once I find it, I'll provide more details.

That would be great, because then I could update the bio on the comic on the site.

Hello, I'm new to the forums! I have the comic book in color (and can try to scan it if I can), though I had two in black and white as a kid. If the comics in black and white were released later, were the figures made with different materials? I have two Godzillas, the older release has a soft rubber head and plastic tail, while the newer release had a harder head and a really soft tail that easily pops out. Very strange indeed.

I have images of the cards for Megalon, Varan, Baragon, Doom Island Godzilla, and an image of the comic interior, but I can't find a way to upload them. :(

I have the comic in color, too, and a bunch of the cards. I always thought they were kinda cool and nice for a freebie.
Now it's dark...
