What accessories do you display with your Godzilla collections?

Do you have any pictures?Moonknightspect wrote:I use paper craft buildings and little cars
The vehicles in the above picture were from a pack of 4 military vehicles from the Dollar Tree. Not the greatest detail, but not bad for $1

Re: Godzilla's accessories thread
I got a bunch of little Dollar Store tanks myself. Mine are much smaller.
That's about it. When I create dioramas and such, I usually use a lot of model train stuff. Little trees, buildings, and such. I wanna make an entire papercraft city one day.
... that would use a lot of printer ink, though...

Re: Godzilla's accessories thread
I'll take a guess as what scale vehicles one would need to match in scale to their Godzilla figure.
6" Godzilla = 1:144 scale tank
9" Godzilla = 1:72 scale tank
12" Godzilla = 1:35 scale tank
Anyone think otherwise?

Did you caluclate that based on Godzilla being 50, 80, or 100 meters?GCrusher wrote:I'll take a guess as what scale vehicles one would need to match in scale to their Godzilla figure.

Tokyo, a smoldering memorial to the unknown, an unknown which at this very moment still prevails and could at any time lash out with its terrible destruction anywhere else in the world.

Re: Godzilla's accessories thread
6" Heisei figures need 1/700, though 1/600 fits okay. Showa 6" need 1/350.

Re: Godzilla's accessories thread
I didn't consider how tall he is in the different movies because the toy companies generally don't when they make the figures, they just make them 6", etc.. There are many Bandai 6" figures that are made in the same height / scale that when placed next to another should show discrepancy in height, but they don't.eabaker wrote:Did you caluclate that based on Godzilla being 50, 80, or 100 meters?GCrusher wrote:I'll take a guess as what scale vehicles one would need to match in scale to their Godzilla figure.

I display them with whatever accessories they come with. Occasionally I'll give them one of the guns from my Halo collection just to be silly.

Thanks, I didn't come across that. The railroad models I think would work for buildings and landscape. Maybe micro machines for tanks, planes and soldiers?

Re: Godzilla's accessories thread
I've used different scales of models with SHMA and since Godzilla varies in size they look pretty good.. as long as they are displayed with the same scale. This is mostly for 6" figures regardless of product line.
A 6" SHMA model Godzilla (rounded to 6") at:
50 meters would be a scale of 1:328
80 meters would be a scale of 1:525
100 meters would be a scale of 1:656
Since those scales are.. well not very rounded I usually find the model scale that I want to use (to keep scale correct) then go from there.
An example of an M1A2 (M1) Abrams battle tank in similar scale
The M1 in real life is 32.04' long (end of barrel to rear)
so in scale would be:
1:450 is .85 inches long
1:500 is .77 inches long
1:700 is .55 inches long (nearly half an inch!)
Many products are offered in the 1:450, 1:500, 1:700 scales. Here are a few:
Pitroad models offers a lot in the 1/700 range (mostly naval ships and such but does have buildings)
http://www.hlj.com/product/PITS-21
http://www.dragonusaonline.com/SearchBy ... ryCode=138
Herpa provides a huge line of aircraft (even modular airports) in the 1:500 scale
http://www.herpa.de/herpa_cms/(S(mw435z45y2nrlavcoudgmq45))/Default.aspx?lang=en-GB&rbid=193&art=0&pg=1&print=0
T-Gauge trains are 1:450*
http://www.t-gauge.net/available.htm
http://www.trainaidsa.com/shop-tgauge.shtml
or you if you could just craft your own with 3d printing. Shapeways offers 3d printing as do many companies. A great way to get what you want in just the right scale
http://www.shapeways.com/
*I've seen T-gauge trains (1:450) mixed with Herpa airplane models (1:500) and they look great.
So a closer look of "how close is it" would be:
A 50 Meter Godzilla in 1:450 would be 4.37" tall
A 80 Meter Godzilla in 1:450 would be 7" tall
A 100 Meter Godzilla in 1:450 would be 8.75"
A 50 Meter Godzilla in 1:500 would be 3.94" tall
A 80 Meter Godzilla in 1:500 would be 6.3" tall
A 100 Meter Godzilla in 1:500 would be 7.88" tall
A 50 Meter Godzilla in 1:700 would be 2.81" tall
A 80 Meter Godzilla in 1:700 would be 4.50" tall
A 100 Meter Godzilla in 1:700 would be 5.62" tall
Or you can look at it this way
A 6" Godzilla would be 106.8 meters tall in 1:700
A 6" Godzilla would be 76.3 meters tall in 1:500
A 6" Godzilla would be 68.6 meters tall in 1:450
A 6" SHMA model Godzilla (rounded to 6") at:

80 meters would be a scale of 1:525
100 meters would be a scale of 1:656

Re: Godzilla's accessories thread
Sorry to bump an old thread, but I didn't know where to ask this, and didnt want to make a new thread;
I know other hobbies (I.e. Transformers) have third party developer sets to work alongside "Official" Hasbro/Takara releases. Essentially, they are Fan-made garage kits that are sold as add-ons. I was wondering if there were any companies that sold accessory kits for figures like SH Monsterarts. I'm looking for cheaper alternatives for beam effects without having to pay upwards of $50.00 for TamashiiNations Effect Sets.
TLDR; Are there any third party kits that sell beam effects that could work well with SH MonsterArt figures?
