I believe in GMK a few people just think the 1954 incident is war propaganda, kinda like how some people think the Holocaust was faked.

I'll admit, I cringe every time I see the two sub guys clearly cursing and pissed when Godzilla uses Ghudorah as a meat shield against their attacks and the dub and even subs have them saying "yes" when it's pretty obvious they are saying "shit". I don't speak Japanese but you can tell they are pissed just by looking at their faces, oh and the plot having Ghidroah being a good guy.

That's even more mind-boggling considering WWII had been over for nine years by that point (certainly couldn't have been for the Cold War, after all, otherwise instead of the Cold War, it'd be WWIII).

There was news footage of the attack for crying out loud! On-the-scene coverage! Live-and-in-your-face footage! You don't write that off as propaganda for a war that had ended a decade prior.

Cold War experiment, war propaganda, whatever you wanna call it they thought it was a hoax like the War of The Worlds radio broadcast. And I don't like it either NSZ, I find that "oh there's no giant monster" shit annoying when it takes place in a world where a monster has already been established. It's like what Spoony's brother said about the Bay Transformer movies, "we can't cover up sex scandals but we can cover up giant robots fighting in downtown L.A.?"

I feel the same about GMK and some fan fics. We can't cover up sex scandals but we can cover up giant monsters destroying cites around the world? Give me a break.

After witnessing some of the heat and seriousness in some parts of this forum I think TK should make this quote from Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla 2 the official forum motto.
